Walk to a doora wall of garnet
blocks my way
'what is this stuff?'
I ask aloud
unsure of where to go
Doesn't this sound fun?
A basin of aqua
burning cold,
now why would
fire hide as ice?
This place is getting
stranger.
Capture a flame
inside a crystal bottle
if that's possible
'what can this
be used for?'
Back to the blockade
flame mingles with ice
two join as one
bleeding onto the floor
'oh, a door.'
There is a howl
as if from the wind,
it is the guardian,
a wolf without color
and cold as the cavern itself.
The guardian drops
I drop as well, exhausted
looking about the room in wonder
there are no words
to describe the tranquil
oasis among chaos.
Stars dance upon the walls
the ceiling: an endless void,
music begins to play
the harp's melody is sad
must I leave this wonder?
