Description An /ok/ drawing my my OC/Pokemon Gijinka, "Kaalthe" (kah'l'th).

This character is unique because he's really TWO characters.

The original character is a dragon in an RP series with my friend but when I played HG/SS I created a Jolteon and named him after that OC because they're both electric types, and that Jolteon became a gijinka character... So, in essence, they're the same yet not. Either way, they are very very similar.

This is the Jolteon version; the original has a few differences.

Description:
Very little is known about Kaalthe, mostly because he’s so quiet and reclusive. Even those closest to him know only the bare basics about him: that he’s older than he looks, that he doesn’t age, that he seems to know every god and legendary being, that he has great morality and respect for others and for his environment, and that he’s one of the most agile and gifted of Thunder magicians (Electric element). His adopted younger sister, Solace (Espeon), only learned of her brother’s past after many years of personal time with Kaalthe and a persistence to know about him.

On the surface, Kaalthe comes across as any other aristocratic educator at The West or East Classes. He carries a regal and demanding air about him, commanding respect from both his peers and students, and that makes it easy to assume he falls into the same category as most of those around him—but that’s incorrect. Kaalthe is not an aristocrat. He is not of noble blood, or of any blood. Kaalthe stands alone as his own bloodline, the first of his kind.

The All-Mother goddess Mew had just populated the planet with people after her All-Father brother, Arceus, created the world and time and space and dimensional reality. She and Arceus didn’t always get along and thus didn’t spend a lot of ‘quality time’ together; as a result, Mew found herself often alone in her temple. Even surrounded by those she’d created to worship her, she felt empty. To fill this need for motherly love, she created a child she could raise as her own and named him “Kaalthe”.

By all means, Kaalthe was a normal little boy. He was beautiful but simple, with brown eyes and hair. There was nothing amazing or special about him and that was perhaps what confused Arceus the most when they were introduced, but Mew desired a normal child and raised Kaalthe just like any mother would.

Considering where he lived and who his ‘mother’ was, Kaalthe had a relatively average childhood. He went through the same stages every child did and experienced life in the same child-like ways. The only difference between him and someone else his age was that he was surrounded by gods and witnessed Creationism at work on a daily basis—and that he was immortal. This inspired within him an understanding of the world and all of the beings and creatures on it, as well as deep knowledge of magic and science and everything in-between.

When he was old enough, Kaalthe decided to go to the mortal world to explore and to learn about himself. Though his mother warned him it was dangerous, she allowed her boy to leave, and the brunette traveled to earth to grow in life experience. It was on earth that he met a girl and fell in love. Because he could not bring her back to the world he came from, he chose to stay on earth permanently so they could be together. Mew blessed them and they were married and had several children together before facing the grim reality of Kaalthe’s existence: he was immortal, but she was not.

“Two” (Mewtwo), a being created by Man in attempt to replicate the All Mother’s powers of creation, went on a furious rampage across the planet and the city Kaalthe’s family dwelled in was caught in the crossfire between the violent demigod and a vengeful trinity of magicians (the legendary birds). Though Two was captured and was managed to be sealed away, most of the city was in ruins and Kaalthe found himself a widower.

After ensuring his children were safe (they were by no means children any longer by this point), Kaalthe prayed and summoned his mother to express his feelings of anguish. He explained what had happened and told Mew that he could have stopped Two and prevented his wife’s death if he’d only been powerful enough. Kaalthe begged her for power so that it might never happen again; he wanted to protect the lesser-blessed from angry gods. There was no bridge between the mortals and the immortals, and he offered himself to be such.

Mew was moved by her son’s passion and agreed to give him what he desired. She created several magical crystals (the Elemental Stones) and gave Kaalthe the choice of any of them that he might absorb the crystal’s powers and become a powerful magician so that he could protect those he loved. She warned him that the crystals would affect him in more than just power but also in appearance and perhaps even personality. Kaalthe chose the Thunder Stone because he had always loved lightning storms—they reminded him of home because lightning was often the result of the Creation process. Mew gave him the stone and Kaalthe absorbed its power, changing him wholly. His hair turned blonde, his eyes turned blue-violet, and his aura hissed with electricity.

In an instant, he’d become the fastest and most powerful Thunder Mage in existence.

Mew created more of the crystals and threw them across the planet, explaining all of Kaalthe’s descendants and many other beings would have the ability to absorb the powers of these special items.

Once again, Mew blessed her son and Kaalthe returned to the planet, dawning new clothing and a new life. He chose to serve people as best as he could and traveled the world, helping anyone he found to be in need and acting as a median between the gods and the mortals.

Kaalthe eventually found his way to the East where he settled down and helped to instigate The Class, a place where young people could come and live in dorms and be educated in anything from math to warfare. Over time, The Class grew into a boarding school for the wealthy and the powerful, and those that knew about Kaalthe’s past gradually vanished, leaving the eternally young Agility teacher to be gawked and wondered at by all but the only other immortal, the goddess/priestess Lugia.

In the West, another Class was formed, modeled directly after the one Kaalthe and Lugia had created. This separated The Class into The West Class (TWC) and the original East Class (TEC). Kaalthe eventually transferred to work at TWC when the Agility teacher there retired and they needed someone to fill in for him. Kaalthe left his best student/assistant, Chronicle (another Jolteon; this of course makes him Kaalthe’s descendant), to take over his position and traveled to TWC to fill in their needs.

[This is where my B/W story arc begins.]

Personality-wise, Kaalthe is a gentle, quiet, semi-reclusive person with a deep sense of morality and honor. He’s incredibly up-front and honest when necessary but remains very secretive of his past because he fears people’s reactions. (He’s actually been hospitalized before after telling a peer about his history because they decided he was insane.) Even though he’s considerably shy, Kaalthe can be very friendly, especially in one-on-one conversations, and he’s considered an excellent listener and advisor. He’s capable of bringing out the best in those around him and seeks to find the good in everyone he meets.

Kaalthe doesn’t require social contact to be happy. He spends most of his spare time reading, meditating, practicing technique or working in the gardens, though he occasionally takes a student upon himself for private tutoring in combat or Thunder magic.

Though he’s a pacifist, Kaalthe is a powerful warrior capable of taking down beings much stronger than himself with speed and strategy. He uses a silver staff to deliver electric stuns and to fight close-range. He’s a professional at hand-to-hand combat but depends upon his Thunder magic to make his otherwise average physical blows dangerous—you can’t fight if you’re paralyzed.

He uses his connections with the gods to help others as best as he can but never abuses his connections to get what he wants [for example, he asks Origin (Giratina) to come to TWC to help deal with the issues surrounding Odin (Volcarona)]. If the situation never calls for it, one would never find out that Kaalthe had such connections.

Though he is a favorite of Mew, he’s asked her to stay out of his business so that he might live a normal life. Kaalthe still contacts his mother occasionally to say hello, but they otherwise have little contact. She tries to give him help but he often rejects it, wishing to figure things out on his own.

Ultimately, Kaalthe is a unique, powerful, and wise person that seeks little else that to help those in need. He’s a strong shoulder many have leaned upon, and a source of comfort for friends in need. Whether or not this quiet but devoted and affectionate person will open up to anyone has yet to be seen, but one can be assured that he will continue to guard the weak and teach the strong while protecting his morals and the name of his mother.

I wanna be his student. I could learn so much from him. I mean, I can't learn thunder magic, obviously, but I would love to learn hand-to-hand combat. This art is so pretty. I found that I was drooling as I looked at it. Literally, I had to go get a napkin and wipe my face. Brawny paper-towels don't work well on drool...
