Man I hope all this is okay. Since a lot of room is given for interpretation, I hope this info can fit into the whole Almaterra Kingdom thing going on.

I feel bad that there are mostly Mages right now in the competition, but. Early days! I hope the guild spread evens out nicely.

Nahbi Flowers

Clan/Tribe: A group of Vampires made up mostly of those who had left their original groups to start afresh. The group do not draw attention to themselves and are very careful about getting food. They protect their home and only feed from those outside the city.

Easily distinguishable by their black hair and yellow eyes. This group also carries a tribe marking of a yellow grid on their left wrist.

Personality

Nahbi is very quiet and comes across shy. She will either give you no expression or merely smile in response. Her dialogue is short and to the point, sometimes joking, playful or sarcastic. She is kind and does as she is told and is willing to help others out if need be. She is very curious and wary though, and so makes it her job to suss you out before asking anything of you. This may include watching from afar.
Her actions are usually reserved. Nahbi is a fun person, but her expression may not match her actions at all.

She doesn't really use it. She thinks it looks cool but serves barely any purpose for actual combat since she hasn't really mastered it at all. Swishing it about and hoping it lands is too risky for her liking. This item is kept at home because carrying it is tiring and a waste of time. It was aquired from a member of the Hunters of the Wicked.

Her knowledge of weaponry is very large. It is textbook know-how as she has never been able to come into physical contact with weapons besides her own. But she has read about them in a vain attempt to somehow outsmart the other guilds with her expansive knowledge and ability to learn.

Aura sight - She can see you whether you like it or not. With this extra sight, Nahbi can sense your magic affiliation and mood/self. She must concentrate to see further or through objects. Like ghost sight.

Teleportation - Usually used for pranks, this move is like blinking. She doesn't generally use it without other magic aspects fitted in. Like say moving through shadows or dodging attacks. Her teleport range is wide, but she must know/be able to visualize where she will land. Destination must be in shadow. She may also teleport objects, but they must first be shrouded in her own magic. This takes time and can be dispelled by the touch of others.

Meditate - Used to super charge abilities for a short amount of time. Also to help Aura Sight. Nahbi sometimes uses it to forget pain/hold out long enough to get away/use magic in direct sunlight or bend holy water. She'd rather not.

Other: In fights she usually changes her mind about what she will do at the very last second which makes determining her next moves very difficult. But there is a pattern. Should she choose to make a sudden decision, you can bet your ass it'll be the craziest.

Backstory

Nahbi doesn't have much of a story to tell.

Her Old Home:

She grew up with her people in a dark, walled city, out of sight but not quite out of mind. Curious humans have come and gone, trading with the vampires that dwell on the edge of a forest. It's a safe place, a pact was made with Zenith ensuring the safety of it's people and the alliance between the cities. Outside protection from danger in return for peaceful trade with Zenith.

Her Choices and Powers:

At a very young age Nahbi was listed as gifted among her group along with a few others. Even to some Vampires, it is a mystery how young ones are chosen for further teaching. Nahbi's parents were among a few who lived among humans before they joined and so had only the knowledge of rumors surrounding their people.

Her life was quiet and fun and full of learning. She made good friends with a younger vampire girl in her group called Mira. They became very good friends and Nahbi made sure to look out for her, even though Mira's teacher was a founding mother of the clan. A very powerful woman.

Later it turned out Nahbi was gifted in shadow and water magic. A great surprise to have two spheres, but also double the work. She chose to major in only Shadow, and studied in Water when she reached the Academy.

... At least she didn't get Light magic like that other guy in her group. A pity. He won't be fighting with that any time soon without getting burned.

Nahbi long since left to join the Mage Academy to start her journey of collecting knowledge and furthering her newfound skills in magic.

This was all twelve years ago.

Ten years ago, she was at an age where she could participate in the King's tournament and fight for her guild but her chances of winning were shattered by a member of the Hunters of the Wicked.
She wishes both for the furthering of her own guild, but also glory to shine on her name, so to speak.

After the last tournament, Nahbi befriended an elf that works in the King's gardens. He's funny and she enjoys his company. They talk a lot and she believes him to be a good mind to have on her side. He has expressed wishes to join the fight, but since he isn't part of guild, he's had no such luck.
