Cuddling: Aomine Daiki x Reader

Aomine didn’t look like someone who cuddled. He didn’t act like one. In fact, he acted like a lazy pervert most of the time. [Y/n] knew better though. Aomine did have a soft spot for cuddling. He just never did it, because not only did he have no reason to, there was nobody to do it with.

But that changed when he met [y/n]. [Y/n] with the cute smile, [y/n] with the slightly-not-quite-innocent personality, [y/n] with a soft spot for cuddling.

The rather lonely activity of going up to the roof alone during lunch was replaced by [y/n] joining him. They’d either cloud-watch together, intertwining their hands, or [y/n] would let Aomine sleep on her lap.

Rooftop moments changed to fireside ones, where during the cold winter months, Aomine and [y/n] would snuggle together on one of the large couches in [y/n]’s apartment, under a fleece blanket, while watching a movie, or merely just spending some time together.

Those morphed to early-morning hugs, caresses, and kisses, cuddling with each other in bed, too lazy and content to get up and start the day. Well, until Momoi ruined the moment by either bursting through the door or calling one of their cellphones.

His basketball team noticed him showing up more and more to practice. Although Aomine didn’t have much contact with the other former Teiko regulars, even they noticed a change in his demeanor.

“Eh? Aominecchi? You seem more cuddly nowadays!” That earned model and basketball player Kise Ryouta a hard punch to the shoulder. “Itai! That hurt!”

“Aomine-chin, are you in a relationship?” Aomine’s head whipped around to stare at Murasakibara Atsushi incredulously.

“Were you even listening when I introduced her to you guys?!” Murasakibara glanced down at him. “You weren’t were you?” He groaned. Himuro Tatsuya patted him on the shoulder sympathetically.

“Heh, you’ve gone soft.” Kagami Taiga sneered, having just gotten through Aomine’s defense while playing a one-on-one with him. Aomine growled. Kuroko Tetsuya and Momoi Satsuki watched from the sidelines, Kuroko impassive and Momoi giggly.

“Kagami-kun, that’s rude. He just spends a lot of time with [y/n]-san.” Kuroko reprimanded Kagami in a monotone. Kagami scowled.

"Stop rubbing the fact that Aomine got a girlfriend before I did in my face.” Momoi giggled again.

“Ne ne, Dai-chan! You guys have been cuddling a lot lately!” She smirked. “I’ve got the pictures to prove it!” Kagami’s eyes lit up.

“Blackmail!”

“I see you’ve been getting it on!” Takao Kazunari sang in a sing-song voice. Aomine was very close to punching him. Why did Midorima have to drag him around everywhere?!

“For the last time. We. Are. Not. Having. Sex!” He roared.

“Explain why you seem all glowy then, nanodayo.” Aomine glowered. 'I can’t tell him that I finally get to cuddle with someone I like…'

“I… like spending time with [y/n]. But we’re still not getting it on!”

“Ah.” Stab. “Shit!”

“That’s no way to talk to your captain.”

“You’re not my captain!” Stab. “Fuck, seriously man!”

“Since I always win, I’m always right. That’s no way to talk to your captain.”

“Eh? Daiki-kun?” [F/n] opened the door of her apartment to a rather worn out but pissed off Aomine. “Did something happen? Wait. Nevermind. I see. Akashi-kun and the others?” Aomine nodded. “Mkay. Wanna come in?”

Aomine slipped off his shoes, mumbling a quiet “thanks” and collapsed on the couch. [Y/n] immediately joined him, slipping into the space between his arms and legs curling up against him. Automatically, one of Aomine’s arms went around her waist. Yup. Cuddling. And there was nothing (not even the crazy excuse of Miracles always bothering him) that could stop him from doing something he loved with the person he loved.
