Description
You looked around, manoeuvring your light through all the others, successfully not bumping into any of them. You would be humming to yourself, if it wouldn't be for your loss of a real body. You came to a sudden halt, when you noticed a certain, extremely bright light in your vision, and quickly floated over there. You were awed by the soul instantly. It was... so bright, so extremely bright, you would probably need to narrow your eyes if you had a real body. And yet...
And yet, it had many cracks. You could basically feel this souls loss. He or she must have mourned so much, and yet, he or she did not let himself, or herself get sucked into the abyss called despair.
You decided, that this would be the person you would visit tonight. You smiled, entering the next sphere, mending your souls together for the time being. A surge of warmth swept you away, and you embraced the warmth that filled the void in your heart - that place you had accidentally removed.

You were standing on grass, like the last time. You blinked, as you turned around. Huh?
This was the same scenery! Was this still aboard the Thousand Sunny? But you hadn't connected to Zoros soul this time! This feeling was totally different!
" Nishishishi! That's funny, I can see through you!" you heard someone laughing and swirled around, shrieking slightly in surprise. It was a young teen boy, raven haired an... wait. Did his smile stretch out really that far?
" That's a beautiful smile..." you breathed, and he blinked at you surprised, before grinning even wider.
" Thanks! " he simply said. " Say, where do you come from? How did you come to my ship? Are you a ghost? Oh, and do you like meat?"
" Wait wait, one question after the other please" you chuckled.
" I'm from an island far away, whose name you probably won't be able to pronounciate right, so don't bother with it. As for how I came here, I ate a devil fruit. I'm searching for somebody~ But seeing as you can see me, that someone is probably you."
" Huh?"
" Oh, it's alright~ So, you know Zoro?"
" Sure! He's my friend! You know each other?"
" A little bit. Who are you by the way?"
" I'm Monkey D Luffy! The man who's gonna be the pirate king!" he exclaimed, arms stretched wide. You chuckled.
" Ok~ So, Luffy... you got some time for me? I'll stay here only for a few hours."
" Sure! Hey, you didn't say if you liked meat."
" I love it " you smiled, and his grin stretched.
" Awesome! Come on, let's go explore the island!"
" What? But it's night!" you said surprised, but he just grinned. He reached for your wrist, frowning when his hand went right through it. You chuckled as he tried again and again, seeing him pout after countless more attempts.
" You can't touch me, because I'm only here in an astral way."
" What does that mean?" he tilted his head, puckering his lower lip. You smiled, stretching your hand towards him. You stopped it, hovering above his chest. His gaze followed your movement, and he stared at you see-through hand, before his gaze went up. His dark brown eyes met yours, as you had simply been waiting until he raised his gaze.
" I'm residing in your heart, at the moment. You can see me, and hear me.... but I can't be touched or hurt in a physical way." you said gently. For a moment, he remained without movement, until he frowned.
" So I can't hug you?" he pouted. You chuckled.
" I thought it would creep you out... and your only concern is, that you can't hug me?" you shook your head smiling. " No, you can't. Sadly. If you come visit me where I live, though, you can."
" Really?" his eyes lit up a bit, and you nodded. His smile got vibrant then, and you blushed. " Awesome!" he said loudly, and - forgetting about what you just explained - went to hug you. Only to fall right through you, and hit the floor nose first. You broke down in laughter, as he got back up on all fours, rubbing his nose, and very pointedly avoided looking at you. You noticed he had a slight blush on his cheeks, but decided not to point that out.
" So... wanna explore the island? Mister pirate king?" you chimed, winking at him. He gave a wry chuckle, before almost jumping of the ship, landing on the sand of the beach the ship was docked at. You tilted your head, wondering if his jumping ability could be counted as 'normal'. There was no way you could jump that in your right body. So you sighed. You made yourself weightless, floating over the railing and following him. His eyes went huge as he saw that.
" You can fly! That's so cool!" he beamed. You laughed.
" Not really. I can only cross a distance, if I am in the way I am now like this. And only towards my 'partner'."
"... so you can fly!"
" Towards you. Just for tonight, yes."
" Awesome! Come on, let's continue!" he turned around, entering the dark forest. You would pale if it weren't for the fact that nothing could hurt you at the moment. But still, you weren't quite comfortable with this... You sighed, deciding to follow Luffy. You felt warm and happy in his presence, and maybe he felt the same way a little bit.

It wasn't really long, until you shuddered. You were no fan of dark places, to be honest. And the creepy noises in the background were really not suspect to you at all, u-hum. Rrrright. Maybe this wasn't a good idea....
Something was suddenly flying your way fast, and you screeched loudly, panic evident in your voice and reaction. Something flew right through you, and would have hit you, if you weren't semi-transparent.
Even though, you suddenly shut up, when you heard chuckling. You blinked, tears pricking at the corners of your eyes.
" You should have seen and heard your reaction! Nishishishi!" Luffy laughed, and you pouted, stomping your feet on the floor. " You meany! That wasn't fair!" you said loudly.
" Right, sorry, shishishi~ Come on, let's go further!"
" Wait! Luffy!" you gasped a bit, stumbling after him. He started talking then, about all the stuff that had happened to him until now. How he met Zoro, and you smiled, because you could totally imagine what he told you. How he met Nami, and Ussop. Later on Chopper, and then Robin, and how he made Franky and Brook part of his crew. he told you about the people he met - friends, waiting for him to visit them once more. Crocus with Laboon, Vivi with Chaka and Pell, Dory and Brogy, the giants. He also mentioned Bon Clay, and a certain man named Rayleigh, and the Kujas on Amazon Lilly. It was fun, and you laughed much more than you had in some time.
But at some point, he went quiet. Staring into the night sky. He had stopped at a beautiful opening of the forest, a lake stretching out silent and unmoving in front of you two. Your gaze went to him, and you took in all you could see. His slightly round face, teen like features. He was probably a bit younger than you. He had a scar below his left eye. Dark brown eyes, raven, wild hair. He wasn't very tall, but he seemed very lean. Though you thought he had very smooth skin, you could make out defined muscles beneath it. He had a very nasty looking x-shaped scar in his chest. You frowned. That looked like it had hurt like hell.
You blinked a few times, before turning to look back at the lake. In the silent minutes that had passed, fireflies had crawled out of their hiding spots, and were flying above the surface, some dancing only a bit away from you two. You stared at them, hearing Luffy chuckle next to you.
" Normally I scare off such little animals~" he smiled. " Nami says I'm too loud and too hyperactive to sit back and take in beautiful scenery. I wonder what about your presence makes me so calm." he turned his head to you, and you smiled.
" It's the bond we have for now. If you find your soulmate, you'll experience many kinds of new feelings... and maybe you'll be a little calmer."
" What is a soulmate?"
" You'll understand once you meet that person."
" So you're not it?"
" I don't know. Not yet, at least. We would need to meet in person to find out."
" So where do you life?" he asked, curious but still calm. You smiled, naming him the island you were currently living with Alive and Beatrice.
" Just the three of you?" he questioned, and you nodded.
" Yes. You see, when I ate the fruits three years ago, I had next to no control over it, and pretty much everything went wrong. I ended up over exhausting myself to e degree, where my limbs started to go numb. I still can't control it properly, and continuously connect my mind to those is my immediate surrounding. Thus, I can read their thoughts... and much more. It's ok as long as it aren't that many. I know Beatrice and Alice, so it's ok with them. I value their opinion, and they don't feel repulsed by me. They love me, as I love them. They're my guardians, my precious friends. But just imagine: being able to read the thoughts of hundreds, maybe thousands of people all at once." you explained. He frowned, trying to imagine.
" Try imagining how every person likes different things, how they say one thing and think the other, how there are hundreds of voices in your head at all times. While you eat, while you sleep, while you talk."
" While you poop... Ew, gross." he finally grimaced. you also made a face.
" You are so gross Luffy." you huffed. He chuckled.
" No, serious. It's hard for me to focus on one thing solely, so I think I'd go nuts If I were you."
You smiled sadly.
" Well, I did more or less. So my parents decided, it would be best for me to live an isolated life. They bought a private island, and moved me there with my guardians. It helped me very much. But it's a little lonely."
" That sounds pretty lonely. Hey, what about we come and visit you? I'm sure the rest of my team will like you!" he beamed at you.
" That would be great! I'd love to meet the rest of you! They all sounded very nice!" you smiled.
" Why don't we go meet them now?" he offered, but you just laughed slightly.
" It's in the middle of the night, Luffy. I don't think they'd appreciate that. Besides, only you can hear or see me now, so they'd think you're hallucinating."
" But I am not!" he pouted. " You're real, (y/n)! Right?"
" I am. But people tend to deny what they can't see with their own eyes." you said, tilting your head. Luffy frowned.
" But... but, I mean, I have a walking skeleton on my crew! And a cyborg! And a reindeer! I think they will believe me!"
You smiled. " Maybe you're right." you nodded. You looked back to the lake, smiling. Oh how you wished you'd find you soulmate soon...

When it turned morning, Luffy and you went back to the ship. Both of you were silent all the way. He seemed tired, and hungry, but he was smiling. From far away you noticed the people at the railing. he smiled at you.
" How long will you stay?"
" I'll be gone with the first rays of sun. Maybe a few more minutes." you shrugged your shoulders. He nodded, and so you crossed the last distance. As soon as he had set foot on the wooden planks, the orange haired woman hit him on the head.
" Luffy! How dare you leave in the middle of the night!? We were so worried!" she scolded, and the long nosed man quickly added:" It's dangerous here! Who knows what lives in that forsest! Don't you have any idea how scared we were?! Don't go out alone!"
" But I wasn't alone! (y/n) was with me!" Luffy pouted, rubbing his bump. He sent a glance towards you, and you chuckled. You looked towards Zoro. The green haired mans gaze followed his captains. he was looking in your direction.
" Who the heck is (y/n)!?" Nami frowned, but Luffy ignored her, staring at you.
You smiled, waving a hand.
" It's goodbye, Luffy, Come visit me, ok?" you asked, hope lacing your voice.
" Don't ever say goodbye. I don't say goodbye to my friends. It's ' see you again!'" he smiled widely. You chuckled.
" See you, Luffy... Zoro." With that you faded away, as the sunlight touched your projection.

Luffy flinched, as it felt something left with you. Something he couldn't grasp, but it remembered him of the time, Ace had left. He bit on his lower lip, as his eyes went to Zoro, who stared at him silently, understanding in his eyes.
" So... it's Tsuki-Shima, right?" the swordsman grinned, and Luffy chuckled.
" Yep, Tsuki-Shima~ Nami, say, can we visit that island?"
The navigator frowned in confusion.
" I think it's very far ahead of our route, so there will probably be a possibility to land there, yes... why?" she tilted her head slightly, hands perched on her hips.
Luffy laughed.
" I wanna go and meet (y/n)! Right, Zoro?"
" Yes." his first mate nodded.
" Who is this (y/n) you've been mentioning?" Chopper questioned.
" Well, you see...!" Luffy started to tell them about you. He really wanted to go and meet you, just like Zoro.
