That's what I meant. I'm not homophobic, I have no problem with lovers who are the same gender, and I have no problem with people shipping characters of the same gender. Perhaps if Celestia was around Twilight's age, I'd consider the ship (assuming it still wouldn't be cannon (I mostly only ship cannon pairings)), but since Celestia is ages older than Twi, and that she considers Celestia a mentor to her, the idea of them being romantic with each other makes me feel kinda... "icky" (I couldn't think of a better word)

Excuse me but, there's nothing wrong with loving the same gender, nor is there any indication in the show that implies that Twilight considers Celestia a mother. Personal interpretations aside, if you don't care for the ship, that's fine, it's your business, but I find comments like these to be rather unnecessary.

I like to Imagine that Celestia had somepony she loved a lot in her earlier years, and who acted and looked so much like Twilight (maybe even with the same Cutie Mark!), that after missing her for a Millennia, she still remembers her every time she looks at Twilight, and some part of her believes that Twilight is her Reincarnation.
