Hope.

A simple word, with a simple meaning. Officially, it’s an attitude of optimism. A mindset that is often considered naïve- believing the best outcome will happen, no matter the odds.

Hope.

We live on it. Thrive on it. Even villains and those considered ‘evil’ or ‘bad’ have hope. The hope to pull off a robbery without being caught. The hope that a shady business deal will go down without a problem. It’s all hope.

The darkest of our society use it and probably never realize it. Without hope, humanity would wither. We simply cannot exist without hope. The hope that today will not be the day a random and tragic accident takes our life. Every day carries the chance of death or tragedy- but we hope that it won’t happen. If we didn’t hope, if we didn’t get out of bed and face the day, our system would crumble.

How would we accomplish anything without hope? The hope that a much worked for promotion will happen. The hope that you can be a good parent to the child you’ve created. Hope is in our every waking thought. Every day is filled with hope. If we lose our hope, we lose the will to live.

Hope is an essential as a heartbeat. Even those struck by disease or a disability overcome this with hope.

Hope is life, as life is hope.

Hope to pass this class,
Hope to be what I dream,
Hope all will work out perfectly.

Hope this world will fix the cracks,
All is left for hope,
All our broken dreams,
All our souls that bleed,
Without hope where would we be?

Hope is what leads us to faith,
And faith is what leads us to believe,
What is impossible is not,
For hope can pick any lock.

Hope is what we need,
To turn this world around,
And live for a better world,
It’s all in our dreams,
Waiting for hope to set it free.
