Description    Hello guys.

Today was supposed to be one of my happiest during December, since I reached Fifteen years here on DeviantArt, sadly, it is not.

With a great pain in my heart, and after giving it too much time reflecting on it, I officially announce that I will no longer publish new artworks in this platform, and I'll also erase, eventually, the ones that I have, to empty the gallery, the account may remain activated to allow me to keep watching the artists I follow since so many years ago, but it will no longer receive new artworks from my part. However, I plan to use it to update you when I open new commissions, challenges and so on, also as a communication channel with my commissioners, since many feel comfortable using the message service here, me included. I will also close my fan-group, The Twidash Gang, since, with all the changes here, will imply a hardship for me to handle as the only admin of the group.

What the people behind the management of this platform decided to do to all of us has no name. It was, simply put, a slap on the face to the many artists that supported and helped this site to reach the high spot it is on today, and a betrayal to the whole art community, that saw a sanctuary in this site, where they could showcase their craftsmanship, built during years of hard effort, and build bonds of acceptance and trust among their fellow artists, a place where you could escape the hellish backlash that sites like Twitter or Tumblr hand on a daily basis, just for the sake of clout.

I not only speak on my behalf, but for those that are no longer with us and can not defend themselves. What this whole AI thing is doing to all of us, is the worst nightmare that this modern era could bring upon the art community. These images generated by a machine are not art, they never will, they are nothing but a monster of Frankenstein, built and fed from stolen art, that a bunch of resentful and ignorant people decided to create, just to sabotage something they don't even care for, much less understand, and to gain a few dollars on the way.

The damage is already visible, since many spaces where artists used to display their art, are already flooded to the brim with these atrocities that wrongly name themselves as art; many fellow artists are already dealing with "potential customers" demanding either cheap or free art, under the threat that their artwork will be taken to be replicated by one of these many "AI tools" for free. Some are already fearful of what will they do once they no longer find a source of stale income, and many potential artists from the new generations are already giving up without even trying, since they fear the machine will be more powerful than them.

Leaving all this bad taste behind, I just wanted to thank you all for being by my side during all these years. the love and appreciation that I always received from the people on this site, is something I hardly ever find anywhere else. I'm thankful for the many friends an memories I built on this place, the many artists I had the happy chance to follow and learn from, and the lucky chance it gave me to start my career as a professional artist, despite all my ups and downs from the past few years.

If you are interested on following me on my new path, I already created two new art accounts on two new platforms, one of them is Artfol, an application I recently discovered, and the other one is called Itaku, both of them will contain my new works, and probably I will upload some of my old art pieces that will be erased from here. You can also find me at my other regular socials, like Twitter and Tumlr. Instagram will be back to activity next year, since now I can post from my computer, the reason is inactive, is because my cellphone just won't let me use it.

All the links to my many sites are here: linktr.ee/akemishikima
Like always, all my sites are under my penname.

If you would like to help us, please: commission real artists, follow and share their works by retweets/reblogs, help us stop reposters, don't support AI generated images, and if you want to do the extra, please, spread this image on your social media. Here is the original: www.artstation.com/artwork/14e…

Nicholas Kole twitter.com/FromHappyRock was really kind yesterday to allow me to use his picture, and just like me, he wants this protest to flood all platforms all over the internet, so the message can reach the world, that we don't want the destruction of art by the hands of a few who created a monster they will sooner or later no longer control.

Thank you, and farewell, my beloved friends.

Kim out. Peace.
