Awesome! Holy Cross is one of those places you just have to visit if you're in CO. One of these days I'll make it up there; it's been far too long. Anyway, nice!

Thankyou, I agree! It's so pretty up there. A friend and I had planned to go backpacking and fishing in the high country of the Holy Cross Wilderness, but unfortunately due to a disease outbreak they had to close the road to do forestry work. As a forester myself I undserstand, but it was so disappointing. My friend had been planning this for a year.
My advice to you is definately check with the forest service first to make sure the road is open. This road will not be open until October. Anyone planning on going up should check online and over phone and plan accordingly.
