Description
So this is Melfet before acquiring his skull mask and pictogram. I guess him getting it will be the next piece with him.Note! I know that in reality, bucks shed their antler velvet during the end of spring before rut season. But if you lived in Finland, one would know that it's not unheard of that it could snow even on Mayday. But the choice to have winter in this is that it looks pretty.
Ideas and motivation for art has been non-existent. However, ever since reading about the velvet shedding of deers, this has been in my head for some while. Finally pushed aside Okami and Battlefront 2 and returned back to business. It hadn't drawn anything for several weeks, almost a whole month and yet I was super afraid that I had gotten rusty. Went with the cell shading this time as I think the usual soft shading would've looked out of place for this one. Also most of my shading patience was spent on that damn moon. Never actually drawn one with this much detail, it seemed like every brush stroke wasn't making it any prettier.
Ugh, enough talk.
