Securing one last vial onto her belt, Bel started for her bedroom door with a final glance out the frost-laced window. Distances beyond, surrounded by bloated storm clouds and white mist, sat the thing. It had no name as far as she knew, and Bel was hoping it wouldn't be around long enough to be granted one--but she knew she was reaching for a miracle, and those were rare nowadays.

Bah. She glared in its direction with all the disdain of someone who'd been awoken before dawn by a mob of frightened townspeople and gestured at it crudely with her finger for emphasis. It had stopped being just an eyesore five minutes into her having to eat breakfast while facing it through the kitchen window--at that point, she noticed that it seemed to...drip. Constantly.

Soon enough, the people came pouring in.

Injuries she had never seen before--half-digested limbs, freeze burns that turned grey into an almost yellow, bruises that had blooms of ice. No, it was no longer just a nuisance.

It was dangerous, and therefore, it needed to go.

There was nothing she--lacking the power to heal beyond offering warm water and stitches--could do, and while it suited Bel just fine to have the oft wailing, occasionally screaming people off her hands, she wanted the thing gone so that she might stop losing business at the speed of drip. The Queen hadn't been able to put a leash on her eldritch horror the first time, and the Count, though at one point sane, had long since become monster in his own right. If she trusted neither, then there was nothing for it but to see if the goliath would burn.

aND THE tree of disembodied heads IS FINALLY DONE!! i'll probably add in the two awful blood monsters em and bel had to face later like sibling, like sibling i gues- but for the most part, im super satisfied with how this turned out! smooches em for being a brave bab, all the songs for you so you can forget about the red-eyed blood gloop from the Depths of Hell
