When moving, there is a constant creaking as it is never seen without its fracturing cracks. The more strained it becomes in a fight, the more it may appear to physically crumble away.

◇ Defense || Echo || Using the shards of it's own crumbling body, Mirror Mirror uses it as a makeshift shield to surround its comrades individually to help reflect minor attacks. Every attack will wear down on the shields durability until no shards are left. As long as all is moving at a moderate speed, the shield will follow with them.
◇ Supportive || Narcissus || Uses the mirror on its face to gaze at the enemy, once the enemy makes eye contact with the crumbling mirror they become entranced for a short period of time by their reflection. This skill is limited based on the enemies gaze remaining undisturbed and their resistance to magical attacks.

Combat Style | With a fragile body, Mirror Mirror is better suited for long distance combat. It's hand to hand combat is weak as well as their defenses. The persona uses its high agility and luck to dodge attacks while lending a support to others.

Mao is a teen who is obsessed with the idea that the more he has, the better his quality of life will be. After all, his own experiences had showed nothing but support for this ideology and he continues to naively believe in such. He has the barest of attachments to his collection and never seems to be satisfied with having enough. The teen thrives off of routines and is disciplined when it comes to up-keeping his strict maintenance in regards to both his health and studies. He is driven when it comes to activities associated to it.

Through the parental encouragement of his materialistic obsession, the young teen has come to associate affection in terms of physical objects rather than emotional support. As his parents had done little in that department, Mao had grown up under the understanding that expressing emotions is through actions of gifts. In this manner, he is the less likely to offer anyone the typical type of support or advice that is expected.

Mao takes extreme pride in his physical appearance. His is constantly absorbed by thoughts of how to improve his appearance with having little care of the expenses for it. He is quick to judge others based on their outward appeal as well and is unforgiving in accepting excuses for it. As he had been the one to ultimately change himself to seek his own happiness, he is less than forgiving of those who blame their appearance on factors that could easily be fixed. The teen is very stubborn in regards into continuing to upkeep his appearance as well and is quick to be deny participating in activities that he believes would show himself in an unattractive state. His devotion to up-keeping his appeal may even go so far as to attempt to disguise himself when going out if he did not sufficient enough time to get ready.

Although it is a well known fact that the boy is borderline narcissistic when it comes to appreciating his own appearance, underneath his air of confidence is a fragile ego. His meekness, a trait that never quite disappeared from childhood, is for the most part desparately hidden under his vain facade of confidence. It is disturbingly easy to get under the teen's skin when it comes to mentioning his face in a negative light even though he shows no shame in judging the appearance of others. His sensitivity towards such personal problems keeps him closed off from others as he refuses to allow others to find out his true fears regarding his dependency on materialistic goods. He seems to have no qualms about others criticizing his outfit as long as they keep the touchy subject of his face out of it.

Unfortunately, his weakness for compliments is a double edged sword. He is very easy to please as the simplest of compliments would bring him great joy. But Mao can be naively forgiving when it comes to dismissing the errors or consequences if it meant latching onto the slightest sliver of a compliment. As long as there is something for him to latch onto, the teen is desperate for any form of acknowledgement and would willing forgive any wrongdoing whether it had been to himself or the others actions. 『 H I S T O R Y 』 TLDR; A boy with an unfortunate face attempted to capture his own happiness by changing it for good. Unfortunately, he fell into the obsessive need to further prove his own worth through materialistic goods and is struggling hard to find what happiness truly is.

Mao was born to two working parents who prided themselves in their physical attributes and luxurious lifestyle. Naturally so, they had envisioned that any child of theirs would embody the same aesthetic as they did. Unfortunately, as Mao soon learned growing up, he fell far from their expectations. While some parents may have come to terms and praise their child unconditionally no matter their appearance, his parents had the opposite reaction. Whenever a chance appeared to belittle their son's appearance, they would take it and see little wrong in being honest. For them, their appearance helped to secure their own successful lives and they would be dammed if their son would be unable to gain such happiness because of his looks.

The boy didn't understand at first why, despite receiving affection from his parents, that his looks were often downplayed as being a fault. It was not difficult for even a child to soon realize the way in which people were treated simply based on their appearance alone. Through this acceptance, Mao began to adopt a severe complex when it came to how others viewed him. Their poor son's self-conscious nature was an easy beacon to other kids who thrived off of never letting him forget it either. He did little to defend himself against their taunts as, after all, his own parents often reminded him of his tragically mundane appearance. School became a nightmare for the young child as his days were spent cowering from bullies and complaining to his parents only to hear that he was all because of his appearance which, by default, was his own unfortunate fault. It was his own self that denied him the ability to be happy.

Under the guidance of his parents own twisted view of happiness, Mao soon too begun to steadily believe the more lavish clothes that had the better he would be treated by others. And, by extension, the happier he would be. All of his insecurities could be hidden away in the same way that his own parents used such luxuries to their own advantages. This growing obsession with material goods filtered through to affect all aspects of his life as it began to dictate every moment of it. Mao, in this sense, had brainwashed himself into believing that he could love himself more by using material goods as a substitute of one's worth.

His parents, seeing this change of interest in their son, vehemently encouraged him further towards this path of luxury in the hopes that perhaps it would prove a positive influence on his appearance. Much to both their own joy and their son's, Mao's drastic change in how he dressed had already begun to show ideal reactions from others. But still, no matter how extravagant his outfit was, his face was still easily visible for the whole world to see and judge first without mercy.

After coming to terms with this realization, Mao's thoughts took a drastic turn as he begun to only see one way to save himself from this unfortunate fate. If pretty clothes couldn't fix his face, or at least draw the attention from it, then there was no other option but to change it. Maybe then, he would be much happier as his parents had claimed he would be.

While his parents had before jokingly commented about cosmetic surgery as an option, they were still pleasantly surprised when their son approached them of his own accord to discuss how serious he was about having it done. Money was of little issue to them when it came to their son's happiness, despite their less than stellar encouragement of his physical looks, and they assisted him in further researching into the possibility of cosmetic surgery on a young teen. While the first few surgeons had disagreed to operate on their son while he was in this emotional crisis, his parents fought tooth and nail until they found one willing to follow through with it and whom was sympathetic towards their son's circumstances. In order to accommodate his recovery and surgery time, he was pulled from school to be tutored in the privacy of his home for the following year.

The success of the surgery was a positive step forward that convinced the young boy to push his boundaries even further. With his new face, Mao wished to hide away the past surrounding his old one as though it had never existed. He begged his parents to allow him to go to a school far away from their city in order to start over as someone new. The appeal of attending an academy in a rural location was ideal in his wishes to escape the constraints of his old life.
