Bubble was a little stiff during the warm-up, but loosened up as the nerves went away. Minna had trained her well, but I was still nervous. Usually Cami was with me, she had become a comfort horse at these competitions. Cami deserved a little break too.

"Welcome Vera Kingcamp and vN Bubblegum Bich" shouted the man over the loudspeaker. We started on the left hand side and followed the wall where the crowd stood and cheered. I could see Minna standing and cheering us on! We broke with the wall to get to the middle of the track where we first took a big circle on the left hand, I told Bubble to pick up speed. When we closed the first circle we took another one on the left hand but I sat down more in the saddle to signal for a quieter gallop. We closed the second circle and stopped nicely in the middle of the track before I signaled to Bubble that we should do 4 spins on the left hand. I always get a little dizzy from these. I stopped and changed hands and did a big circle on the right hand with a fast canter, Bubble followed my commands carefully, before we started circle number two and I sat down more in the saddle again for a smaller and slower canter. We stopped in the middle of the track again and I had to steel myself for four new spins on the right hand.

The audience cheered and clapped for the amazing speed Bubble had with the spinning. I could feel the sweat running down my forehead, but I knew we still had more to do.

I leaned to the left to indicate we were going left in a big circle. Bubble picked up a bit of speed and at the middle of the course I changed to a canter and did a big circle at the same pace on the right side. We again changed canter to the left and galloped down the right side before taking a sliding stop and taking a rollback 180 degrees before galloping the way we came from. On the other side of the track we took another sliding stop and a rollback. Now it was the last thing again. We galloped down the long side where the audience stood intently waiting for our sliding stop right next to them. We stopped gracefully and backed up a few steps.

There was applause in the whole hall, and I could finally take in everything around me. I patted Bubble on the soaking wet neck. We went off the track and Minna came running towards us to cheer us on for a nice lap!
