I'm so glad I had time to finish another entry for this contest!

コードギアスアニメはとても面白かったです。コードギアスの映画もおもしろそうです。映画とてもワクワクしています。日本に本当に行きたいから頑張りました。ありがとうございます。楽しかった！日本語が下手で本当にすみません。

My Japanese is not good enough to explain my concept, so I will do that in English, sorry for the inconvenience!

Being raised religious, resurrection and revival made me think of religious themes, as did Lelouch's tragic death, a sacrifice for a better world costing him his life. Zero as a concept is also all about revival; the revival of Japan at first, and in the end the revival of a world without dictatorship. I wanted to include more than just Lelouch, however, so decided to include themes and imagery relating to his rise to power and death.
The first half (left) has Lelouch as Zero, rising to power via the geass given to him by C.C. C.C is depicted in a way The Virgin Mary is; although she's obviously not Lelouch's mother, she was the one who brought his power to the world.
The second half depicts Lelouch, as emperor, with the fatal stab wound Suzaku inflicted. He is drawn to parallel art of Jesus's resurrection where his wounds are visible. Suzaku is now Zero, the symbol of resurrection and revival, with the sword that was used to kill Lelouch.
Behind both C.C and Lelouch is the symbol for geass as well.

Stigmata is the word to describe the manifestations of bodily wounds, scars and pain in locations corresponding to the crucifixion wounds of Jesus Christ.

While I myself am not religious, religion and religious themes are really interesting and it was really fun to draw and create a concept for.

My filesize is huge, so if a HD copy is requested, the two put together are around 6000 x 4000 pixels or so.
