Mostly for but for anyone who wants to know how I draw wings, really.It's not the most relistic method, I realize, but it does the job.
IN CASE YOU CAN'T READ MY AWFUL WRITING:
1. Start with a basic skeleton.
2. Draw out the main layer, the other feathers will be added onto this.
3. Add the second layer of feathers, this includes the pinion feather which should be the longest on your wing. Don't draw too many feathers individually, think of them instead as a mass joined at the base of each feather.
4. The final layer of feathers is added now. Make sure that none are longer than the pinion feather you drew in the second layer. Do not add too many more on the inner (in this case the left) side of the wing, as this is supposed to be the thinner part of the wing (where it joins to the body). Also add a few more lines of feathers on the main feather layer.

I used to draw wings pretty well in the seventh grade, but I just stopped drawing altogether for a while and forgot how I drew them. . . ANYWAYS.
