Description
I started this project before the Soul Eater collab wallpaper with Aladdin, but decided to put it aside until we don't finish that. I did the most of the character vectoring before the collab though, on my luck cause on Monday I tripped pretty bad and hurt my right hand & left ankle. I'm fine between now.
Vector based on the scan, I needed to redraw and extend some parts of it, due it was quite covered with small pictures and text boxes. Hardest part of the vector was the plaid part of the skirt, needed criss-cross 10 custom colors on each other.The characters got a lot of additional of contrast and more vibrant colors, enchanced with some gradient and blur.
The background is also based on the original, or better say I wanted base on it, but on the end it turned out to a bit different. Not quite easy to make such a reddish sky background. I blurred more the clouds though, to give more attention the characters. The moon I made manually, a simple circle with gradient, applied NS1 brushes and put a 100% spherize effect on it.
Should be a tribute to 11Eyes, which is a quite nice and underrated series and to my favorite characters from it - Yuka and Misuzu. And also a tribute to one of the best looking school uniforms ever.
