Let my feelings reach you - PART 2
It's been a little bit awkward since Kuroko confessed to you. You two would still hang out together and stuff, but it was kind of... different. His confession made you very happy, but you still weren't ready to move on after a big heartbreak. But Kuroko patiently waited for you without rushing anything as he had promised. He wanted to give you some space so you could calmly decide on your own.
It's been two months since then.
Today you went as always watch Kuroko's practice. You took your usual spot on the balcony and approached the railing so you could see everything. The boys started warm-up.
"TETSU-KUN~" suddenly you heard a loud voice. You moved your (e/c) eyes to the entrance and saw a beautiful, pink-haired girl (with HUGE b-cup -,-). 'Tetsu... kun...?' you thought confused. 'Who the hell is that?'.
"Momoi-san" to your disbelief you noticed no one else than phantom 6th man smiling gently to the now come girl.
"I missed you so much!" she giggled and out of nowhere hugged him. You felt your chicks turning light red. But not because you were embarrassed or something, oh no. It was more like your blood was boiling. 'But why am I feeling so angry right now? It's not like he is my boyfriend or anything...' you questioned yourself.
Meanwhile the situation downstairs changed. Now Kuroko and Momoi were casually talking, no more touching. You sighed in relief.
"... and I don't know what should I do now! I was hoping that maybe Tetsu-kun would help me" you woke up form your transe catching the last words. She made big puppy eyes. Kuroko patted her head gently.
"I'm sure that everything will be alright, Momoi-san. Don't worry so much" he smiled making her blush madly. Your heart skipped a beat. 'They seem to be close...'. "Oh Momoi-san, I want you to meet someone. (L/n)-san! Can you please come down for a second!" he turned to you waving. You nodded and quickly ran downstairs.
"Momoi-san, this is (L/n) (Y/n)-san, my friend and classmate. (L/n)-san, this is Momoi Satsuki-san, my friend from junior high and manager of my previous basketball team" he introduced you two.
"(Y/n)-chan! Nice to meet you! Let's be friends from now on!" she smiled cheerfully. You relaxed a bit.
"The same here, Momoi-chan" yo wanted to say something more, but you were interrupted by Seirin's captain.
"Kuroko! Get back to practice!" Hyuga shouted glaring at all of you. 'Scary...' you thought.
"H-Hai..." Kuroko answered freaked out and gave you one last smile before going back to training. You and Momoi went to the balcony together.
"It doesn't matter how many times I see this, I'm always lack of words! Tetsu-kun's missdirection is just so awesome!" Momoi said all excited.
"Yeah, I know what you mean! He is amazing" you smiled while blushing lightly, which Momoi quickly noticed.
"Ne, (Y/n)-chan... Are you in love with Tetsu-kun?" she asked straightforward. You quickly looked away.
"N-n-noo" you managed to say after a while feeling incredibly hot.
"That's good, because Tetsu-kun is my boyfriend" she said coldly, her pink eyes hid behind her bangs. You were speechless. 'Kuroko... has a girlfriend?' you thought. "Well, I can't blame him since I still didn't give him my replay... But my heart hurts' you felt your knees shaking.
"Excuse me, Momoi-san, but I feel a little dizzy. I'll just go to the nurse's office" you whispered and quickly turned around.
"Do you want me to go with you, (Y/n)-chan?" she asked concerned. You shook your head without looking back.
"N-No it's alright. I'll be fine don't worry" you mumbled and quickly left the gym, but you never went to the infirmary. Instead you ran as fast as you could somewhere far from school.

'What the hell (Y/n)?!' you asked yourself and took a sip of your drink. 'Why did I run away like that? I don't get it. I-I'm in love with (Crush Name)-kun... Or I was. I don't feel anything when I think about him. Nothing at all' you suddenly laughed to yourself, which looked kind of creepy by the way. 'I'm finally over him... Then why do I feel like this? Why is my heart ponding so much when I-...'. Then it hit you. 'Damn this invisible boy and his lack of presence even in my thoughts! Ugh~ How didn't I notice that I'm head over heels for him?! This is impossible... But I can tell him now that I like him back! And we can-...'. Then again you became sad. 'But he has a girlfriend... Damn it!'. You wanted to scream. You wanted to scream so badly.
So you did.
"DAMN IT! WHY DOES IT HAVE TO BE HER?! WHEN I FINALLY REALIZED MY FEELINGS! DAMN IT!" you felt much better after screaming what was on your mind.
"Tesu-kun, have you heard that?" you suddenly heard Momoi's voice behind you. 'FUUUUU*******' you mentally screamed and jumped down hiding in bushes.
"Yes, I did. I wonder who was that..." Kuroko. Your heart started pounding so loudly that you were afraid that they would notice you. Then you saw their legs passing by.
"I hope that (Y/n)-chan is alright... She wasn't at nurse office when I came to get her after the practice" Momoi remarked. "Maybe she went home...?".
"I sent her almost 100 messages, but she didn't replay" Kuroko mumbled. "I wonder if she feels better...".
"You are so nice Tetsu-kun!" Momoi giggled. Then they voices got further and further until you stopped hearing them. 'I forgot my phone today...' you thought pitifully. You waited few more minutes and when you were absolutely sure that they had gone, you left your hiding spot just to...
"Ow..." you looked up and saw... "(Crush Name)-kun...". He looked as surprised as you.
"(L/n)? What were you doing in the bushes?!" he asked amazed and took a leaf of your hair.
"T-Thanks" you mumbled. "I was just... sightseeing" however dumb it sounded it was the first thing that came to your mind.
"Sightseeing? In the bushes?" he looked at you as you were hurt. In the head. "Are you alright...?". You sighed.
"Yes, I'm fine... OK, I wasn't sightseeing... I was hiding" you confessed.
"Why would you do that?" he asked again and took another leaf of your hair.
"Because Kuroko-kun was passing by with his girlfriend" you looked down at the ground.
"Kuroko-kun? That guy who took you away that day when I asked you out?" you slowly nodded. "I see...". Then out of nowhere he hugged you. "You can cry if you want (L/n)" he patted your back gently. Even though you didn't want to cry in front of him, you couldn't help it. The tears were already rolling down your cheeks. You stood there in silence, you snobbing once in a while. Until you completely calmed down, he patiently kept patting you back and comforting you.
"Thanks, (Crush Name)-kun" you dried your eyes and smiled weakly. "I guess, I just don't have luck with men".
"That's not true, (L/n)! You'll see, one day, you'll find the right guy" he smiled. "Too bad it's not me though".
"I know you for too long (Crush Name)-kun, I know I'm not your type. You don't like me that way, even though you asked me out that day" you recalled and playfully hit his arm. "I'm glad we're back to normal though. I missed you" you grinned. He sighed.
"Yep, it's my fault for hurting your feelings, and I'm so sorry (L/n). I missed you too" he hit your arm back.
"Sorry for avoiding you for past two months" you apologized and smiled again.
"You should be! I was bored walking back home on my own, you know!" he pretended to be deeply hurt. "Come on. let's go back. It's pretty late, I'll walk you".
"It would be strange if you didn't since we live on the same street" you remarked and giggled.
"S-Shut up!" he looked away and pouted. "Let's go".
How you were happy right now! You got over your unrequited love for him and you were back to where you two used to be. Best of friends since primary school. You were glad that you didn't give up on your friendship, even though he had rejected you. Speaking of which... You had something very important to do tomorrow.

When you came to school you immediately started searching for Kuroko. Even though he had a girlfriend, you decided not to give up. You decide to tell him all your feelings even if it meant being rejected. But with his lack of presence it wasn't very easy.
'I give up' you thought. You sat down by the gym's wall tired from running around. 'I'll never find him here'.
"Good morning (L/n)-san. Are you feeling better?" you suddenly heard.
"Kyaaaaa!" You screamed terrified. Then you noticed that it was no one else that Kuroko. "You scared me, Kuroko-kun!".
"I'm sorry" he said and sat next to you. "I was very worried yesterday, you left without saying anything and you didn't pick up your phone".
"Yes, I know" you mumbled blushing. "I'm sorry... It's just..." you stopped for a while. "Just... I LIKE YOU".
Kuroko: "..." he was completely frozen. You sat in silence for a while.
"Wait a second (L/n)-san" he began. "It doesn't explain why you disappeared yesterday... Oh my God, do you really like me back?" he was blushing madly.
"Y-Yes... I do like you" you also felt crimson blush on your face. "But you already have a girlfriend. That's why I left yesterday, not because I was sick. I ran away because.... Because I was sad that you found another girl you like" you managed to explain. "I'm sorry!".
Kuroko started laughing. He was laughing so hard that tears escaped his eyes.
"What's so funny?" you asked annoyed and embarrassed.
"M-M-Momoiii-s-san i-i-s not my g-g-irf-friend" he kept laughing. You were really confused.
"But she said that yesterday!" you shouted amazed.
"She often says something like that, but we are not together" he explained and dried his eyes. "I was so scared that you really got sick...".
"S-So you still like me?" you asked uncertainly. Kuroko smiled lightly.
"Of course I still like you. I said it before, didn't I. I'll wait until you love me back. Until my feelings reach you" he gently took your hand. "(Y/n), I like you. Will you go out with me?" you grinned.
"Sure thing!" you answered and hugged him tightly.

He leaned closer. You cloud feel his warm breath on your face. His arms tightly wrapped around your waist. You shyly put yours around his neck and leaned a little bit closer. Now you were only inches apart... Your lips almost touching his...
"DRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR" you heard a school bell.
"Oh, too bad. Let's go Kuroko-kun or we'll be late on our first lesson" you quickly got up and slowly headed to the classroom. Kuroko on the other hand...
"So close.... DAMN IT!!!!".
