another Ceramics project.assignment: ....orgomorphic, was it? (something like that) Basically a sculpture of one thing turning into something else.

Hahaha I like this guy a lot, even though I did a crappy job painting him. (alligator skin is hard to paint okay ;n; )
And the crappy photos u_u
He fired in one piece, but someone messed with him on the shelf and broke one of the peels off (some glue fixed it), and a toenail fell off after I painted him but whatever wasn't worth gluing back on.
ceramics, acrylic, modge podge for the eyes/nails/teeth again, and coated in a clear gloss spray (he's actually a little TOO shiny because apparantly there was wind today and it would blow every time I tried to spray the gloss
So I had to spray it really close to the sculpture, which made him extra-shiny. )

in all honesty, this kind of scared me when i first saw it... but in my defense, the thumbnail made it look like a banana holder.

i love this now that i see it upclose. i think you did a good job in painting it and the curve of its spine is so alligator-ish... yes, and this is very creative 8D

hahaha I initially had like zero ideas for this project, but I started thinking about fruit/animal combos because I figured they'd work well xD;
and that's how I came up with this.

before i saw this sculpture, i just saw a thread title in a forum which said "my mom caught me with a banana up my ass"
it was a random guy being silly
made me feel uncomfortable for a while
but anyway, good work

oh just a ordinary student forum lol - it was in the health and relationships forum
it gets a lot of spam due to it being the only area in the forum where the "anon user" feature can be abused
and i was uncomfortable at the coincidence of reading that and then immediately after seeing your work lol
