Description B and R riding through a dark forest. I really have to draw some backgrounds other than trees.

Sadly I scanned this on a crappy university scanner and the colours came out much the worse for it. They look better in reality.
Watercolour and white ink.

Β Really? I really wanted it to have a stylized, somewhat medieval feel to it so I'm glad to hear that. Thank you!

That is a very beautiful painting. It could be a great illustration to some tale or story like the ones by Astrid Lingren. Obviously it could be historically based but not necessarily. I just love how the colours are balance here with the colour of her hair and that of the horse together with green balancing the black and white of the Teutonic knight, flowers and background – just amazing!

Thank you very much - I love her illustrations so that's a real compliment to me. I'm glad you liked the colours. I was very happy with them, though, as I say, the skanner ate them!

This looks nice! I really like the way you painted the horses, and the colours look great!
I think my favourite thing are the flowers on the ground, so cute!

I'm glad you say the colours look good, I was afraid that the scanner killed them. Thank you! The horses were a lot of fun to do, so I'm glad they look ok.

I can't! Oh my..... *hyperventilating*
Your hands are definitely magical!
And such beautiful backgrounds!!

Wow thank you so much! I'm really glad you liked the horses - they were an important aspect here. I'm sure with some practice you'll be where you want with drawing animals!

I like a lot this kind of drawing!
It's funny because in my painting for you there is also a knight, and the scene takes place in a forest x) (not in Estonia though but in Norway ^^)

OMG! This picture is just amazing! Seriously I just love it! Is this in Estonia as well? Where is she guiding the Teutonic knight? Are they both crusaders, venturing through the dark Baltic forests or is she leading him into a trap by pagans? Or perhaps she is showing him the way out of a trap? Maybe the Teutonic knight does not believe her and she needs to show him something? So many stories can be attached to this picture it is just wonderful!

I'm so glad you like this! And I like those stories that you came up with! It is in Estonia again. Your first version is probably closest to the story! Though as to where she's leading him, I have no idea actually!
