I've been thinking on these types of trades, but more oriented on another way, like a comic like scene, when one does his action, and the other artist does his, doing a 2 styles in a comic with lots of actions involved ΓΆ
My idea reminds me a bit of msn pic chat XD Or even OC, or specially, those war games one does pencil to pen at school... or at least i did d:

You can always add shade, but you can never remove it! Dx
Though excessive shade brings the fact that there is less light, which affects the entire drawing, forcing you to shade it more overall.

Well, you got side help for that. You can always, scrap it here, and see what people have to say about it. Ask someone you know close to you. Or simply take a look at it, from a distance. For example, put it on a vertical position and step back, and watch it as you would a painting :V
My brother does that sometimes, as well as asking me for some opinions on the looks.
It's a good technique when you don't know how to stop xp

I really enjoyed drawing this pic, I think the trick of using traditional methods is not to be afraid of messing up. Of course there is a chance of messing up, but there should be ways to ammend it. Just have fun :3
I found using thick paper is good for water colours (thick with a rough surface and not card) and if you wanna get water colours, you can get a set with just a few colours, you don't need all the colours you can find, just mix your own :3 Tissue paper are good to quickly wipe away any mistakes while it's still wet. (I have tonnes of tissue on my desk in front of my PC, people keep thinking I've been doing something naughty -_-)
I'm not really an artist since I don't know anything about colours or paper, I just make do. If you wanna know anything else about lil tips on traditional stuff just note me, I don't believe in keeping techniques and stuff as a secret as everybody use them in different ways and so in turn I might learn a thing or 2.
