Description Stats

Name: Shylem
Alias(s): The Gobbler
Length: 90 Meters
Weight: 29,000 Tons
Means of Locomotion: Swimming
Alignment: Neutral
Rank: 2

Abilities
-Static Bill: As to any paddlefish, Shylem has a massive long spoon-like bill that protrudes out from the face and obviously attached to the skull. This bill, while alone makes a great bludgeoning weapon by itself, holds tens of thousands of tiny cells that hold great resemblance to the sharks Ampullae of Lorenzini by nearly every standard. Since Shylem has bad eyesight, this new sense now acts as his(or hers) way of seeing the world and hunting prey as many other fish have done before. The bill also doubles as a sort of “invisibility” too. Shylem seems to control a field of electromagnetic space that can make it seem that Shylem is not really there to those that use certain electronics and those that also use their own electrical senses, such as sharks, for example.
-Belly of The Beast: As with Vastrato and Charles, Shylem is the third monster in the world to exhibit a very elastic skin and to an extent bones. This is mainly around the gut area where the jaws and stomach are, and with good reason. As it turns out, Shylem is not just a filter feeder, but also a ferocious predator as well that will attempt to swallow larger prey items that it normally could not otherwise without the elastic jaws and stomach.
-Armored Scutes: While scales, Shylem does have various armored scutes covering his torso like a primitive attempt at chainmail. Not full proof, but enough at the same time.

Weaknesses
-Bad Eyesight: Despite having five eyes in all, Shylems eyesight is about as good as a creature that might as well not have eyes in the first place. He can see the world with his sensitive bill fair enough, however it’s not full proof since he cannot see above the water or out of the water with this ability. As well, objects that do not have a static field of any sort may very well go without detection entirely.

Personality
Shylem is a curious creature, because he seems, given if it is a male, exhibits very little due to the fact that he conceals himself with truly amazing skill. While not the smallest, he sure isn’t the largest kaiju to ever exist, but the true reason for the little information on him is due to how cryptic he truly is. Spending times at only the deepest parts of the lake, he has only been spotted a handful of times. The first was during the battle between Cryofellasaurus and Cyber Razzek, where he exhibited very predatory behavior that resulted in the near death of Cryofellasaurus; via being swallowed alive. The other times he was seen breaching the surface chasing schools of fish, and another time hanging near the surface as still as a stone before vanishing once more.

History
A several seconds of none stop swimming, and Nipsy had burst into the shallows of the lake, at last turning once its feet had touch bottom. Soon to follow the creature, Cyber-Razzek burst from the lake surface with a mechanical shriek for all to hear.

Floating in deep water, the cyborg glared at the wicked predator with anger. This battle was far from over. Chattering her jaws rapidly, Nipsy seemingly goaded its enemy on with the eager valor of a battle bound warrior.
While focused on the mech, Nipsy failed to notice the overhead enemy that was the Vulcan. Several of the cannons rotated and aimed down directly at the hunter, then fired several times. Naturally the sound of cannons going off caught the monsters attention, but one minute to late as she was bombarded with several explosions.
In the midst of that, Cyber-Razzek lunged forward, coiling its arms around the distracted Cryofellasaurus before she knew what happened. Like a crab snatched by a hungry cuttlefish, she was overwhelmed and entrapped very quickly with little room to fight back.

Up above, Mercy giggled in delight. “I love it when it is this easy,” she said. Truly she did enjoy doing her job with much ease.
However, if it was one thing Alex and Ab became well aware of, it was just never that easy; ever. Alex’s eyes narrowed at the screen with suspicion. “Or it isn’t that easy,” he reminded her.

Nipsy began to bite as quickly as she could upon one of the arms, and was about to completely tear the limb completely away. Before she could however, a powerful current began to pulsate through C-Razz’s body in great surges that began to mercilessly shock the unfortunate beast.

“Looks easy to me.”
Alex only sighed at the woman.
“Sir!”
Alex turned his attention to who called out. “What is it?”
“Unknown target in the water, coming in fast.”
With a sigh, Alexander said to himself “Never that easy…”

After virtually tearing away from the cyborg, drawing more of her own blood in the process, Nipsy had to put some distance between herself and both her enemies. She bolted for the open lake yet again, but would find that it would be one of her worst mistakes of the day.
Just as she virtually dove into the water, a massive black chasm of a mouth split the surface of the water like some void in the space and time randomly opened wide. Nipsy had no chance to stop herself and ended up sliding headfirst down into certain death.

“What on earth?” Ab thought aloud as he watched out the window as this thing had half swallowed another monster.
Recording the footage to begin with on one of the ships cameras, Alex tried to comprehend and explain at the same time. “A fish, and a big one too. Far as I am concerned I leave it at that, but for the record of the United Nations I think it’s a bit more serious since it’s trying to swallow our quarry.”

Half down the throat of the fish that would be named Shylem after the helmet; Nipsy struggled and thought with all her might to prevent herself from being eaten alive. But this predator was not about to give up its catch without its own fight.

Not sure what to do exactly, Cyber-Razzek cautiously followed the fish as it swam in circles while it tried to swallow the feisty meal. After a moment, it decided to attack was the only option at this point. The jaws parted and exposed the Cryo-Cannon.
Skylem was just about to gulp down its entire meal when the beam came and struck it across the face and back. Ice formed, causing its movements to become restricted to a great degree. Being attacked in general was enough, so now the fish had to give up its sizable meal out of instinct. A few shakes of the head and Nipsy was expelled with a cloud of partially digested food that must have been swallowed earlier.

Dizzy and out of breath, she quickly swam to shallows for air. Luckily for her, Cyber-Razzek was more preoccupied with the new comer.
After struggling off the ice that clung persistently to the armor of its body, Shylem slowly turned, casually swimming to deeper water. Most likely find a more agreeable meal in the safety of the depths.

Turning its vision back to one another, Nipsy and Cyber-Razzek were to continue the score they had to settle…

-------------------------------------------

This one came out faster then expected too. In concept and in due date. Not that a due date was involved...

thanks to Raven for bating a few things with, like the name... I think it was Raven anyway... Shylem is about as perfect as a Paddlefish might get from me. Being that only one other exists by Gil, this is pretty damn original and I can't help but enjoy this one creature that even on a kaiju standard is very secretive and hard to come by.

Up next is Gruffen, the Enteldont! And that will probably wrap up this plot. STay tuned!

I've never cared for fish kaiju too much, but I do like the colors. Can't wait to see the Entelodont.

I think this is far better than a more boring slate or grey.

maybe.. but I felt that was too expected since a real paddlefish is that color as well.
