Last week I was walking in the direction of Museum Gouda to visit the exhibition ‘From Gauguin to Toorop’ when I saw this canal adjacent to the museum, opposite to the old church of Gouda. I like the intimate view composed by the clairobscur play and decided to combine the rather realistic execution with some surrealistic elements.
