About the concept:

According to the OLT series, Calystta is meant to be the next Queen after a lost generation of Royalty and to restart the cycle. Her important part is symbolized by the gold dress and shoes which are embroidered with pure gold. Rihanna on the other hand is the link in the Queen cycle that broke. But she's also the key to restart it, hence the golden details on her gown. The golden accessory on her hair reminds of a half crown, symbolizing her lost Royalty.

Rihanna's actual hair is wavy/curly but she mostly keeps it straight. Calystta was also born with wavy/curly hair but since she didn't experience discoloration on that part of her body, unlike Rihanna, her hair is blond. Rihanna was originally a brunette until she was 1 year old when the discoloration started. Her hair turned white but her eyebrows kept their original color. Joseph — Calystta's father —, on the other hand, has dark blonde hair.
