I loveΒ this painting. Β Just, the whole concept and execution and everything. Β I especially like how Thetis is floating above the waves, and how well you balanced the composition - the figure against the cliff and castle. Β I really like the color scheme - how Thetis is surrounded i bright, warm colors, while the land is grey and dar. Β There's almost a feeling of Thetis coming to get retribution for the abuse heaped upon the oceans from humanity. Β I like how you dressed Thetis as well - like, modern, yet echoing the Ancient Greek fashion, esp with the white of course, but just in the flow of the dress. Β I love that she's wearing black booties, and that they match her hair. Β I like the way you used chiaroscuro to create the crags in the cliff, and the sense of depth you achieved with the diagonal offset of the figure from the cliff. Lovely work

Fantastic color usage, especially in the sky. The only criticism I have is to do with the perspective, which is a little ambiguous. (I couldn't tell, at first, if she were normal-sized and emerging at a distance, or giant-sized and emerging nearby. I settled on normal and far-off.) Other than that, I love the movement and the generally dramatic, vaguely ominous, look. Β Β
