Description
New digital painting! This thing has been evolving over many different periods and in many different ways, and sections of this have spawned ideas and composition bases for new paintings. I'll upload a process sequence too. I'm just starting to get a taste of digital painting from imagination in colour and it's a blast.My pal SWiTCH had an interesting way of seeing this image: "some would see evil [...] but i just see something [...] that lives in an incomprehensible way"
I wanted to paint an incomprehensible being.

MAN, this is JUST the stuff that im into! a combo of abstract and yet landscapelike composition. and i seeyou put skulls everywhere but you kept it subtle!! That deserves a thumb up!

I've heard that comment several times before, which is curious to me because I have never read any Lovecraft. I am curious to read something and get a sense of what it's all about, do you have any recommendations of where to start?

Well, The Dunwich Horror is a good start, you could possibly find the text online. Also The Shadow over Innsmouth is another good one. Maybe there's a site that has all his stories.
