I'm actually taking a class right now, and my assignment is to make my own Jack of Hearts card in Photoshop/Illustrator. This is certainly inspiring, but dang it looks like a lot of work to get the reflection/rotation to line up!

It wasn't that hard... Basically, as I recall, I drew just the top on a piece of paper, based on an existing card design - and older deck belonging to my grandmother. New ones aren't as detailed. Then I used another piece of paper, held against the very middle and marked off where the lines for the design terminated. Flipping that piece with the marks on it around, I adjusted the lines and sort of sketched out where the reflection would go. Then photoshop did the rest, really. There was some tweaking here and there, but overall came out ok. Good luck! I hope you can make some awesome cards!
