well, im sorry for the intense delay as far as submissions go, i haven't exactly had the best week. anyhoothis is dawn and she is a deer in case you cant tell.
thanks to ~garyye for the inspiration and basic idea on how to draw anthro-deer.

I like the texture detail on the hair, it's really pretty. I love super straight hair. I like how expressive her face is, too. The eyes are cute too.

I used to be really good at them, but then I tried practicing anatomy more and more, and now I'm just average at both. :/ Oh don't be so modest, I think you're really good. ^ ^

I'm not exactly good at explaining, but...I guess, depending on where you want to shine the light on your character(s), try to put shades in areas facing away from the light source. And if you're a pro, try to mimic the way shadows naturally appear on a face or figure. You can look at other pics or any objects around you for some good refs on that.
That's about all I can say. Besides that, you're doing a good job.
