I can imagine this being a Halloween on the ship kind of thing.

Which old one? The oldest is from the 1920s with Lon Chaney Sr I believe. It's a wonderful play/book/movie. ^_^ My favorite, actually!

yeah i think that's the one! I just remember it looked very old and i think the phantoms face got destroyed by acid or something :S
As i said, sooooo long ago since i saw it and my memory is on vacation -_-'
I once read the book by Frederick Forsyth when i were 11, and my english back then were not that great so have not much memory of it either :/ *fail*
But- the music is great (and i actually remember that, odd huh? XD and it has nooothing to do with that i have listened to it sometimes during the past years *whistle whistle*)

Actually his face was natually deformed. However there is ONE version where they said his face was destroyed by acid. But normally he was just born that way. I highly recommend the books...especially Phantom by Susan Kay.
Theres even a sequel to the PotO play called Love Never Dies

Phantom might be a wee bit hard to find. It was out of print for several years but I think it got put back on the line cause of the demand for it.

Very nice! Very nice indeed! I'm especially fond of the way you made the coat and the scarf Garrus is wearing in the left one. Love it!

Yep. The name works very well, I think. I'm kind of jealous of it, actually...
In the movie (and in the original novel) the mask is supposed to cover the damage on Phantom's face, so it covering all of Garrus' wounds is all right. We still know it's Garrus, and that is what matters.

Depends on the version, how his face got to that stage. In the musical his face has been deformed from birth, if I remember correctly.

They made a pretty good film of it some years back. I haven't seen it on stage, unfortunately, but would like to. I saw another musical version of it, but compared to Andrew Lloyd Webber's version, it was crap (though I liked Christine telling both Raoul AND Phantom to go to hell)... The story is rather old, so there is a lot of different adaptations around.

This is the main theme: [link]
It's a different version from the one in the movie, but gives you the idea of what the music is like.

Yeah. There are lot of good songs in that. My friend who hates musicals on principle loves the Phantom of the Opera, after I forced her to watch the movie with me. And I like Nighwish's cover, too. I actually listen Nightwish atm.

I prefer Tarja Turunen, too. And I think the new singer is called Anette, or something like that, maybe? Not sure, though. "Amaranth" is all right, but from the old ones my favourites are "Nemo" and "Over the Hills and Far Away"...

I have all of them, except the newest one. I think it's called "Equilibrium" or something like that and it came out this year... Or did I confuse it with something from Sonata Arctica? Gosh...
I went to Nightwish's concert once. Not the best experience of my life, I'm afraid... Nightwish was good, but the crowd caused me to panic, which kind of ruined the whole thing for me...

I would love to see Sonata. I've heard they are great in concerts. I can't say if Nightwish was good, I guess they were, but my memories are of that horrible crowd pushing me around and stepping on my fingers when I fell. After that I decided that I only go to conserts where you can reserve a proper seat and people stay put!

Might be some sort of "mob hysteria" which takes over those people. You know that they say that mob is only as intelligent as it's most stupid member (though sometimes I think it is even less intelligent, but that is just me).
Youtube can provide quite a lot of material, but even as good as it is as a substitude, it can never beat being in a real concert...
