Description
This one took me a good while, because though you may glance over the Japanese letters I had to stare at them and try to copy each one down to a T. I know they're sloppy and not perfect and hard to read, I'm sorry, but I feel it's adequate for someone who doesn't know Japanese and has little patients for such details. Please no one comment on any "off" preportions. I kept on the nekoGaara style w/the striped bottom lip, ears, and tail w/very femenine features.

The poetry (which I pray I copied appropriately) is by Akiko Yasano, a well known tanka writer from the late 1800's. Since reading her works I absolutely love them. It's amazing how such deep thoughts can be in such small poems. Anyways, there are a total of 20 poems (mostly all squeezed in there) either totally or partially incorpoorated onto the scroll that wraps up Gaara. Some are falling off of the paper to take flight into the air of the reader's mind(and because i didn't want to cut the poem off). I'd like to share them all, but here are a few of my favorites (hard to choose!).

(around his neck)
Caressing wind,
Wending through the darkness
This spring night,
For a while at least
Breathe not against the virgin's hair

(between his legs)
The clear spring inside me
Overflowed
Becoming muddy-
A child of sin you are
and so am I

(lower one cut off on right hip)
Now
Thinking back
On the course of my passion
I was like one blind
Unafraid of the dark

(across belly)
The tears
of that priest
When he saw me
Were they I wonder,
Bitter or sweat?
