This is just a screen shot of my game. I haven't been able to play it much since I have been out the last few days. You can post screen shots of your game as well, as long as you post a link to the announcement picture above.

Little tip, keep growing your Hive tree with recruits. It forces you to pace yourself and upgrade your units, which in tear increase your mana regen and keep the upgrades flowing. a level 5 upgraded unit is better than three level ones.

For the second and third Terraformer upgrades(Clean land and gain mana on winning battles), they seem to be triggering on losses as well as wins.

whenever you battle, try to grow the tree, or hit escape to go to the select screen.

Would have been nice to know what the skill points effect while you're choosing them at the start instead of afterwards. I would have put a lot more points into Int and Agi instead of going for an all-around style...

Thanks, but don't worry too much. It's still a work in progress after all and our job as players of the 'Beta' is to ensure that the game is at it's highest potential. Note: In the later levels you don't get passive recruits at all (2547 Seconds later), the only way is through battles.

That'll go down if you get consorts, a higher per stat, or the appropriate consort upgrades.

well cleaning is basically taking over (purifying) land, after you purify enough land and win enough battles, you can progress too a larger scale.
im about to finish state, just leveling up before im guessing Country.

I play the game and I love it. I have an huge tree and my Queen is lvl 11.

Small bug to report: If you get the World Tree size and then try and rename your Queen, but close out the renaming box before you rename her, she ends up unnamed and you can never rename her again.

Oh, awesome. That's a result of how game maker handles those input boxes. They don't work at all on a mac, so I'll have to redesign a name input anyways.

speaking of bug fixes and updates, will we be required to download a new game losing our progress, or will it be like a patcher that keeps our saves?

I'll try and make updates for this version maintain save data, though adding sprites causes issues so updates will be harder to do than bugfixes(except for adding outfits and such, because I made those a different way, thankfully).

It's its own program, right now you can run it on a windows computer but soon it will be on macs as well.

So far, I love this game to bits. I'm also pretty curious about some of the code since I'm trying to get into using GameMaker Studio. I'm also a bit confused as to why having spells toggled off INCREASES how long it takes for them to show up?

It's a game balance issue. Toggling spells off makes the ones you want appear more often, so adding a few seconds to how long they take to appear balances it out.

Ah, okay. I'd figured as much. I kind of wonder about adding a mana cost to some spells instead of a randomized timer, then I remembered that a ton of them generate mana, creating the potential for an infinite mana-gain loop.
