Monochromatic.LOL.Not somethingΒ you usually hear inΒ a description of someone.I usually think of gray when I hear that.

Monochromatic means one color and shades of that color, of what i heard.

Haha, I think Wraith has more to worry about than being monochromatic

But then why does the shaping alter colour... strange properties indeed.

well, as far as i can tell, due to the original substance being purplish to start,
and it's assimilation into one's biology is part of the process,
it may just be due to the chemical mixture being ingrained in the person's skin.
(you know, like how you can turn orange from eating several truckloads of carrots)

hmm... even if this is kinda giving me ideas... just something i'll have to
synthesize once i've got a formula figured out and the proper equipment and components for it...

thanks. (and yes, i had to bring science into this... overthinking power!)

Yeahm science and magic don't often mix well...

1. how is sorcery invovled in anything we are talking about here? all that is here is a chemical being absorbed via diffusion through pores.

2. i dissagree: [link] <- see? sorcery is a science in itself.

not to mention such things as [link] and [link]

although i do know what you are refering to [link]

but, that's usually the result of either competition between practitioners of both disiplines, or just people being horrible writers.

i mean, physics has been skewered many times before [link] which is pretty darn stupid in itself, so naturally it isn't the only thing that is messed up quite often.

not to mention that sorcery itself not only does follow physics, it's actually enhanced by them,
hence why dyna-mancers being familiar with electrical current behavior is quite advantageous to them.

the same goes for aero-mancers and pneumatic pressure, geo-mancers and tectonic plate variance,
pyromancers and combustion patterns, and cryomancers with thermodynamics for refrigeration. simple as that.
to suggest anything otherwise not just presses my berserk button, it overloads it quite throughly.

not to mention that sorcerers are scientists, simply because they study throughly to
find patterns and functions that repeatable and reliable enough to make observations
of, while using these discoveries in various advantageous applied functions.
there is a reason why they study so vigourously, just as scholars do, while being
quite observant and making constant refinements to their various exprerements,
just as other types of scientists do, pretty much to a point of convergence.
(note: any battle mage is equvalent to a combat engineer: different specialized
tasks on the battlefield, and learning to apply such skills in a combat situation
is an entirely different skill and discipline entirely, even if it is still quite
possible for a talented person to learn to do both, with enough expirence and work.)

Tl;DR.

Sorry, but I'm not in the mood for a lengthy iscussion on largely theoretical metaphysics that vary in relevance and accuracy depending on the universe.

Given that in this context it's unclear whether it's super-science, magic, or just what kind of rules it follows whichever it is, how about we just agree to drop it?

very well. the topic has been dropped then.
