he wrote a very fascinating book - don't know the english title - german: "mythos der maschine"
i read it twice and i'm quite sure i will read it again... in this book he writes a bout an "invisible machine" or "hidden engine" - meaning the system of man/men working together being sort of "plugged in to the system" - hard to say in a few words...
i had to think of that when i saw your title and the picture...

it touches interesting part of human being btw, who sets the machine code?

when i get it right, it started with the kings... the humans had no kings at first, then they had leaders... but when sttling down the leaders became stronger and developped to kings... they claimed to be in need of that "mega machine" and started it, setting the code at the same time... that's where the big problem lies - that machine got bigger and bigger and sort of set the code from itself......... i see that i have to read that book again...

i understand it similar way and what i think is that kings set artificial megamachines which later collapse into themselves but one hidden engine exists above all kings and their megamachines

seen - yes, interesting point of view, although i'm not sure if i would call it "machine" - greetings

oh, just had to think of william burroughs' "soft machine" - meaning humans themselves...

interesting man, extremely intelligent, on drugs, experimenting with his own "soft machine", but afraid of psychedelics. did you check john lilly? - dolphins, metaprogramming of mind, floatation tanks, ketamine...

yes, i know them both... well, i read a lot of burroughs, but came to a point where i found him to "cold"... i have one book of him myself, western lands, i think his last novel, which i liked best of all - whereas my brother, who is a real fan of him, says it comes near bullshit compared to his older works...
from lilly i only read one book, but that had quite an impact on me - halleluhja - i'm still not quite sure what to make of it, but it keeps spinning in my mind... just like the books of stanislav lem, from which i read very many...
