I'm currently trying to re-watch the entire series to review each and every episode, sharing my thoughts on DeviantArt. However, I haven't made much headway, as I've only seen one and a half episodes thus far, but enough about me.

I personally consider "If It Smells Like an Ed" to be a flawed episode for the most part. It had some funny jokes, and a plot that wasn't that enjoyable, but it was still better than seeing something boring all the way through. However, it's the ending and how it involves the worst of both worlds that bothers me the most about the episode. It truly falls completely apart at the end. I also find it embarrassing that the writers decided to punish Jimmy by having him fall down, as if that is a worthy punishment. At least, I think that's what they were going for. It's not very clear, from what I remember.

The Kanker Sisters are one of my biggest problems with the series as a whole. I don't hate the characters as much as I hate what they represent. Whenever the writers can't think of a way for the Eds (or at least Eddy) to be in pain at the end, they bring out the Kanker Sisters. This is seen as early as the second half of episode two. For no reason, the Kankers show up to harass Ed who was doing a good job of entertaining the kids. I also think that their introduction was very creepy. I mean, they undressed the Eds after scaring them into fainting.

Season Three is probably my favorite. It never had a DVD release, so I didn't re-watch the heck out of it like I did with Season Two, which was its main competitor for my favorite season of the show.

Yeah, EEnE is my favourite cartoon and as nobody has done a scorecard on it, I decided to rewatched every episode in order to do my own personal scorecard (which took me a very long time to do). I think the show needs to be talked about more and I think it should have more reviewers

The only reason I called "If It Smells Like an Ed" bad was the ending. If they had a different ending, I might have called it mediocre or even meh (it's unlikely for me to rate an EEnE episode good or higher if I don't find it funny and it wasn't funny to me but the plot was at least decent up until the end)

I agree with what you said about the Kankers being a big problem with the series. Although there are some Kanker episodes I can still admire based on those particular episodes' story and humour, I did find it quite frustrating how the Kankers are always used to make the Eds fail when the writers couldn't think of another way. This is probably one of the reasons I didn't enjoy season 1 as much as seasons 2 & 3 as the Kankers appeared the most in that season. I almost gave "Over Your Ed" an okay rating in my season 1 review because the Kankers' appearance was out of place and unnecessary in that episode

Yeah, the show definitely needs to be talked about more. Even a lot of the forums don't talk much about the show anymore. People claimed they've talked about the show too many times to have anything new to say, but whenever I tried to talk about an episode that hadn't already been discussed on E2E, no one would reply. I think these fans really should at least try to say something. I kind of quite E2E recently, by the way.

You know, that's funny. I didn't like the plot as much as the humor, and you didn't like the humor as much as the plot. At least we can both agree the ending to that episode ruined everything. The moment that silhouette of Rolf turned out to be the Kanker Sisters (which made no @#$%ing sense), one's whole view on the episode changes.

Yeah, I think the first season had an identity crisis. It couldn't decide what it wanted to be. Episode 1A is about the Eds helping the kids with their problems. Episode 1B is about "The Eds gets stalked Lawl." Episode 2A is the Eds trying to be popular, and Episode 2B is about the Eds trying to scam (although you could argue it was about Ed trying to be popular). Its humor was also greatly misplaced, but one of my buddies said this was his favorite season (with his favorite episode being "Pop Goes the Ed") because it reminds him of old cartoons. Personally, I thought "Pop Goes the Ed" was a pretty mediocre (or "meh" by your scoreguide) episode. I might reply on your Season One scorecard with more to say on this subject, but that's the main thing I want to say about Season 1. Oh, one more thing, "Over Your Ed" should have just ended with Ed being exposed; it didn't need the Kanker Sisters.

I cannot believe there are people who support LeeXEddy or MayXEd. I could understand MarieXEdd or MayXEdd, since Double D is more romantic, and Marie is less annoying than Lee or May, but the idea of that deleted scene in "Take This Ed and Shove It" being canon terrifies me. The Eds were desperate to get married, so they started dating the Kanker Sisters... terrifying. Just terrifying... Gender doesn't make a difference; stalking is wrong. Sorry for making conversation turn sour.

EDIT: Just to clarify, I meant to say that Season 2 probably is not my favorite because I re-watched it to the point of not being able to enjoy a lot of the jokes anymore.

The reason I thought the plot in IISLAE was decent is because in general I like detective stories so I don't mind that type of plot being used. But unfortunately, I predicted the ending was going to be bad

I think the writers were still trying to find their momentum with season 1 as it was a new show and they were still thinking of ideas and personalities for the characters. E.g. Ed was smarter in season 1 but he dumbed down in later seasons, Edd was also more childish but he became more mature in later seasons

Most people seem to like Marie based on her appearance but I'm not sure if I would put any Kanker with any of the Eds based on how much they abuse them. And after watching every episode in the series, I came to the conclusion that Eddy should be with Nazz as they just seem to have the biggest connection. Nazz has never had a proper connection with Ed as far as I remember watching and I can only think of 2 episodes at the moment where she had a connection with Edd but there have been quite a few moments in the show which suggests that she should be with Eddy

I never said I shipped Marie and Double D. I meant that I could understand why someone would ship them. I could see why someone would write Marie less abusive so that they could be together, but I personally don't write them together. However, I do somewhat like Marie's design. My friend CartoonBoy2009 wrote a story called The Wacky, Looney New Edventures for fanfiction.net, where a girl--who looked a little like Marie--and her one sister were both better romantic partners for Double D, who was not entirely interested in a romantic relationship at the time. I liked seeing the Kanker Sisters' sibling rivalry when it came to boys done right. The two sisters didn't do anything immoral; they just fought EACH OTHER over a boy... and the fighting was verbal. They didn't get excessive or anything, and the scene was over with fast. Of course, I might be misinterpreting my friend's intentions for that scene. In short, I don't ship characters in the show (at least not now that I'm older), but I can see why someone would ship Marie and Double D.

You make a good point with Nazz and Eddy. There were a lot of moments where she actually seems to be romantically attracted to Eddy, but he's too much of a "goober" (for lack of a better word) to seize the opportunity. I just realized that she's his baby sitter. I can imagine all sorts of literature here on DeviantArt being written about Eddy trying to date his babysitter. LOL.
