Federation spies in the Empire reported that an experimental Negh'var-class starship already crossed the border, undetected by the tachyon net. They also sent partial schematics of the ship's power distribution system. Learning the threat, Starfleet initially wanted to sent either the Valkryie or the newly refitted Galaxy-class starship, Messier. However, both were about five days away from the hostile's intended target. The closest stealth ship is the Legacy. Upon reading the mission, Shana, was reminded of Battle of Zentiahs Nebula as well as the Battle in the Bassen Rift. Nevertheless, she puts those memories aside and disclose the mission with her crew.

It took about thirteen hours for the Legacy to reached, and the Klingon faintly detected the Starfleet's presence, but the ship's hull properties masked the ship. The ship is already in red alert condition.

"On screen," Shana ordered, gripping her seat tightly.

The screen just shows the void of stars.

"I've devised a way to detect their power," Zee said. "From the partial schematics retrieved."

It took a couple of seconds before the alarm at tactical gives something off.

"Detected an anomalous reading, about six megametres away from us--starboard," Juz said. "Transferring the data to helm."
"Got it," Otto said, and inputs the coordinates.
"Step on it, helm--three-quarter impulse."

When helm reported that they are closing to four megametres, Shana orders Juz to prepare the forward torpedo launchers. Meanwhile, the Klingon ship goes into battle station, the captain takes a rather cautious approach as the science officer reported the faint energy signature is getting closer to them. He wonders if the cloaks are working as they intended. As the ship gets to one megametre, Shana orders to lock and fire.
