bautiful, somehow the black-and-white just really works for it, not many people can pull that off.

awesome. i'm trying to grow one in my backyard (and it's taken over the neighbors' yards as well). mine aren't that thick, but i love them...except for the blackbirds in the spring and the mosquitoes in the summer.
lovely shot and perspective.

You have to take the good with the bad, These are called giant Bamboo and grow up to 60 ft...the smaller bamboo seems to spread more

I really like the way this looks. I would love to get lost in that right there forever. I love places that look like this.

great shot! no one realizes that there is bamboo in alabama, georgia, north carolina..... I've always wondered how it got there, since it is far between and unusual. but when you come upon such a beautiful thicket or stand (?) of bamboo, it really is spectacular.

very cool. there's a big stand of it--oh now I remember, it's called a "cane break"--near where my ancestors are from in western NC, and it was around in the 1770s according to family history. so I always wondered if it grew naturally since that seems very early to have been planted.

I think the american bamboo is not the same....this bamboo grows up to 65 feet tall and can grow four feet with in 24 hours
