Novice Diploma:

Weightless. She felt weightless. All of the stress, all of the anxiety that had been a constant build up since she first started training her Shedu cat, dissolved. She felt free and she could tell Levi did too. They raced along the shore, as the sun cast it’s last few rays across the sand. She only held onto him by the scruff of his mane and her legs wrapped around his ribcage, yet she felt as though she were glued to him. His strides were so even and smooth that she felt as though she were atop a mere rocking horse, lazily rocking back and forth. She closed her eyes, breathing in the salty air, relaxing a bit more. She wished they could slow down so that she could take her helmet off and enjoy the sunset and the cool breeze, but they had a test to complete. She opened her eyes once more, determination spread across her features. She rolled her shoulders forward, threading her fingers deeper into his thick mane and urged him faster. He complied, as he always did, and lengthened his stride, giving an almost irritated chuff. It seemed that even Levi appreciated the tranquil environment as well.
