Description
This is something I've always wanted to do but never really pulled it off well. In my head, I pictured my Spartan facing away, looking towards the unknown. The lack of saturation (at least compared to my other works) lends to the atmosphere that I'm aiming for. The style itself was inspired by 's images of the main character for his graphic novel Last Man Standing. One particular piece of his that stands out is this one: [link]

Overall, I'd say that I'm quite happy with how this turned out. The picture was taken from the map Tempest. While most screenshots end up looking grainy, this one looked adequate enough so that I didn't have to smooth it out (which normally makes the Spartan look cartoonish).
