Description 1/72 model by Airfix.

Metallic paints are often tricky to handle, but on this occasion I´m pretty satisfied with the final result on what I consider one of the smartest and most elegant aircraft ever built.
Here you are my building of this model: [link]

Raised dotted panels are too... raised, and propeller blades are rather broad, but those flaws are typical on old kits; nothing serious. Thanks, by the way

BTW, did you know that the A-26 underwent two designation changes during it's long and illustrious career.  It started off as the A-26, then, during Vietnam, the A-26s stationed in Thailand were redesignated B-26.  They were then re-designated A-26 again after the Thai A-26s were moved to Vietnam.  It was one wonderful a/c from what I've seen and read about them.

Yes, I know that mess of an identity, following political (rather than military) reasons, it seems.

The Invader is an absolute beauty. A marvel (mostly the glass-nosed bomber version), and I really am eager to see one live. If the WWII Invader is such a beauty, not to say about the post-war On-Mark Counter-Invader, of which I have a kit as well: Improving the marvel

Late in July there will be an air-show close to my hometown, and I asked the organizers whether it was possible to bring some WWII bomber, something missing for years. Apparently, they were interested on it and took my piece of recommendation, but if they bring one, I doubt it´ll be an Invader

Oh, speaking of WW2 a/c at airshows, we had one here in my hometown the last weekend in March.  They had 2 P-51s, an F4U-5 and a B-25.  They offered rides in the B-25 for $850.  If I had had that kind of money to throw around, I would have enjoyed the most thrilling ride I can imagine.  Unfortunately for me, my video camera didn't work properly and I didn't get the great videos I wanted of those planes in flight.  Ah well, maybe next year.
