Description Spoiler-free description, hooray

This is my mage Hawke (the protagonist from Dragon Age II), Cera. Some thought of their Champion as a fierce avenging angel, while some thought of her as a dangerous apostate, wild with rage against the world. She's cynical, reckless, and full of anger. She loathes both the Chantry for their oppression and other mages for being so weak that they turn to blood magic and other evil arts, forcing the hand of the Templars against them. But I think this picture shows another side of her. After all the loss she faces in Kirkwall, her anger runs out. With a moment's reflection, she wonders: between the ways that people see her - the Champion of Kirkwall, the raging iconoclast and the feared mage - is there any of her left? Does she even know what she was before her anger consumed her? Without it, does anything remain of what she used to be?

EDIT: I love how you give a woman a slightly strong jaw and no make-up and everybody thinks she's a man. Shows how few people read the Artist's Comments before commenting, too. How many times did I call Cera 'her' in the description? Alas.

I like how this turned out, considering it took maybe 2 hours. (That's quick for me!)

Thank you, I really appreciate your comment I thought Aveline looked great too, it was refreshing to see a powerfully-built woman to counter Merrill and Isabella's hyper-femme look.

I love how piercing blue the eyes are, and nice brushwork in the hair and tattooing. Very nice detailing

STRONG POINTS
= colors: they are very harmonious and complimentary. they approximate natural colors of the skin and hair
= the shape of the face is absolutely nice as well

POINTS to IMPROVE
= the eyes are a bit too small (for me)
= the shading on her right cheek is kind of inappropriate. also of her right nostril. they look to far into her face.

well that's it i hope this will help

but overall this is really nice.

Thank you I'm a bit confused - what dimension do you think that the jaw is too big in? Are you sure it's not just in the range of normal variation between the characteristics of different people, rather than an artistic error? She is intended as a character to have quite a strong jaw.

I totally knew it was a woman! lol. And she's very beautiful! I love the subtle shading and the markings on her face. The warm color on her cheeks is very pretty too, and I love how you rendered the top of her cloak. Really lovely work!

Seeing this wonderful work of yours I can't wait to have the game finally in my hands.

2 hours? Wow! You're damn talented. Something like this would take me at least 4 hours.

But this so perfect in shading and colours, I'm really speechless. And the blue eyes seem to glow as well. A very nice contrast to the dark rest.

This is a really fabulous piece. The mood the lighting gives is very solemn but it makes me interested in him. Plus I am sort of a fan of dragon age so. ^^ The skin particularly looks really really nice.

Thank you And yes, you're right, there is something wrong with the mouth, and I've tweaked it and moved it aroun a whole bunch of times, and I just can't figure out precisely what's wrong with it either. It just looks weird. Hopefully if I leave it for a while and come back to it with a fresh eye, I might be able to identify it. But it is frustrating!
