This recent article in Popular Mechanics is a good example of an attempt to generate interest in the space program going forward to 2030;

Which brought to mind an assignment I did 40 years ago.

Since so much of the planned missions in space, remind me of the 70's, I thought I'd revisit the inflation as well. The idea of charging the same amount for an item, then reducing the content, while keeping up the illusion of getting the same amount goes way back-I first saw this (COS) idea in Mad Magazine in the early 70's-so this isn't my idea, but, fits my space related career perfectly!

I used the same subject matter (no offense to the brand names, just easy to recognize) as I did then, which was 3D, using real items, and the criteria was to use a phrase in 2 different ways, to create a humorous presentation.

Unfortunately, this is the only important space I see us going into as we sink further into debt and the inevitable effects of an inflationary economy...
