Lovely brush-work, Alan. I really like your transitions from fully realized to implied musculature which, in this case, captures the feeling of the violence of the movement. Thank you for creating a beautiful painting, that can stand alone, and is faithful to the author's character descriptions. I know of too many artists who specialize in book cover paintings, who manage the first two points, but for whatever the reasons, consistently fail the third. So, as an artist, a reader, and a book owner/buyer, thank you again.
