this link helps a lot on the deck, specially the fusion since it cannot attack directly, so this link's effect can help the fusion inflict at least 2800 damage.

Also i think the right translation for this card would be "guardian bond dragon of the destruction swordsman" as the kanji it uses means BOND 絆, and "whelp"'s kanji 伴 looks very similar but its not as it means COMPANION or WHELP.

Buster Blader deserved a Link and the way how this is designed is perfect...for the archetype.
2 arrows pointing down so you can get Buster Dragon and Buster Blader, it's summoning requirements are generic. yes it's atk points aren't amazing, but it fits since this is Welp's spirit.
and that's not even getting into his effect which allows you to summon a Buster Blader from the hand, not just the original, but even the retrain which helps speed the archetype while setting up the grave with either Destructive Sword Flash for protection or Memories for the fusion and just to make up for Buster Blader's fusion not being able to direct atk, Welp's link let's you deal damage for end game given how you could potentially have stacked Buster Blader monster for burn damage provided your opponent doesn't have a monster.
plus given that Buster Dragon and Dragon Destroyer create a situation that forces your opponent's monsters to DEF it's not exactly going to be problematic with Welp's atk being low since none of their monsters (provided Buster Dragon's eff isn't negated)will be able to attack.
NOW the one thing i'm hoping for is the continuation of Buster Blader's story and have him meet Dragon Horn Hunter and make her his student and give her the name Disciple of the Destruction Sword Master before fully inheriting his skill and get a kickass retrain

That's What i have wanted to see: Buster Blader meeting with Dragoncaller Magician while both Of them try to help cure Dragon Horn Hunter/Dragon Core Hexer.
And have Horn Hunter/Core Hexer become a Level 1 Dragon Tuner with 1000 ATK Scale 8 Pendulum Monster called "Destruction Swordswoman Magician" that can help The Archetype and give protection in form Of a Pendulum Effect that states: "If a "Buster Dragon" You control would be destroyed by Battle or card effects, You can banish this Card from The Pendulum Zone or The GY instead"
Or give her similar effects to Dragoncaller, that state that a Monster that was Fusion, Synchro or Xyz summoned using this card as material gets The Effect Of "At The start Of The damage step, If this Card battles an Opponent's Monster, You can make that Monster become Dragón Type until The end Of The turn"
This Swordswoman could maybe Even have a Fusión mode like "Buster Blader, The Destruction Swordswoman"?
Maybe Even give Buster Blader an Xyz Form that lets you either take control Of 1 OF your Opponent's Dragón Type monsters or equip it to one Of your Buster Blader Monsters.

it's possible AND to help show the union between the Dark Magician and Buster Blader archetypes have a fusion of Dragon Horn Hunter's purified form and Dark Magician Girl and we can finally get a "Dark Paladin Girl"
and since the new link and even Memories specify a "Buster Blader" Monster in their text maybe Dragon Horn Hunter can have the name
Buster Blader Girl, The Destruction Swordswoman (thus making her applicable to the "Buster Blader" and the "Destruction Sword" supports)

I have to say, that, while the idea of a "Buster Blader Girl" sounds tempting, i would prefer to keep her as "Destruction Swordswoman Magician"so she could be searchable with cards like "Pendulum Call" (to add her and dragoncaller) or "Wisdom-Eye". ALSO, that way, she can have the protection and suppot of the destruction sword cards like Karma of the destruction swordsman, or Prologue of the destruction swordsman
I like the idea of a "Dark Paladin Girl" (but give her the clause of "This card is always treated as a "Buster Blader" monster"so Flash can be used with her). That she is a fusion of "Destruction Swordswoman Magician" and "Dragoncaller Magician" (therefore always getting the double original atk if battling a dragon type monster).
Any other ideas? Myabe have a Spell that says "dicisples of the destruction sword" showing the new form of dragon horn and dragon caller becoming disciples of buster blader?

I do like that idea to keep her a pendulum, maybe have her scale be higher than dragon horn hunter so BB can be easier to summon. and I ccould see her being a spellcaster type since Wizard Welp is one.
and YES! that clause would be awesome just to give the traps some more variety to work with
Dragoncaller is a bit of a stretch, though not impossible, to incorporate into the BB line up since that's one of Yuya's cards, again it's still possible but they may just give BB his own version of a Draconcaller if they choose to give more support. perhaps turn Dragon Horn Hunter's purified form into a dragoncaller magician and maybe even give her an ability like Lunalight Wolf so she can fuse in the GY while Prologue can help set up while getting Buster dragon out.
it all depends on what direction the archetype is going to focus on since from what i'm seeing the aspect is to shut down the field and by extension the grave.
maybe have some spells to search out the Welps to make it easier to equip them.

I would give the "Destruction Swordswoman Magician" i was talking about a Scale 8 or 9.
I wanted to make her "a level 1 Dragon Tuner" with 1000 ATK or less so she could be a "Cards of Consonance" target. Or maybe leave her as a Level 6 as a reference to Dark Magician Girl's level? or maybe make her Level 7 too? You can make her ATK and DEF equal to Dragoncaller (2400 ATK, and 1000 DEF). she could become a spellcaster like you say, so "Spellbook of Knowledge" can be more viable in the Buster Blader deck with 3 spellcaster targets (wizard buster, and the 2 pendulums).
Yeah, dragoncaller might be a Yuya Card, but i chose him becasue his effects work so well in the deck (example, make him dragon type and fuse him with buster blader: you get a fusion buster blader whose atk can go up to 5600 + 1000 if battling a dragon type monster. Also, his level makes himan ideal target to synchro summon the level 8 buster dragon). Also, while it is a "Yuya"card, that hasn't stopped konami from kaing cards that supposedly supprt one archetype but are too generic (the predaplant and phantom knight links anyone?)
The Lunalight wolf effect might e too much given there are only 2 fusions using buster blader. although i would like a pendulum that lets you be a fusion substitue to summon dark paladin easier.
Maybe pendulum retrains of skilled magicians? that still use spell counters for other stuff?
i like the destruction sword aspect of "being prepared for everything" (or trying to be). Maybe A Field Spell that lets you equip 1 destruction sword to a "Buster Blader" Monster, or to a "Buster Dragon"? or maybe make cards like "Zombie Buster", "Fiend Buster" and "Fairy Buster". One with a "you can discard this card, add a destruction Sword card from your Deck" effect, one with the equip effect of"you can shuffle back into the GY up to 3 of your banished buster blader, destruction sword or buster dragon cards?
or maybe give the field the effect of (Quick effect): during your opponent's turn, can send one destruction sword card that is equipped to a monster you control to the GY,until the end phase, all monsters in your opponent's GY become Dragon type (giving buster blader destruction Swordsmaster a BIG ATK bonus)
