Once per turn, during your Standby Phase, you must banish 10 cards from the top of your Deck, face-down (this is not optional), or this card is destroyed. During your Main Phase: You can Special Summon 1 monster that specifically lists the card "Golden Castle of Stromberg" in its text from your Deck. You cannot Normal Summon/Set the turn you activate this effect. You can only use this effect of "Golden Castle of Stromberg" once per turn. When your opponent's monster declares an attack: Destroy the attacking monster, and if you do, inflict damage to your opponent equal to half the ATK that monster had on the field.

- The effect to Summon one Level 4 or lower monster per turn is likely the only "real" effect of the original card, as it was the only one Leon knew about. The other effects were likely the result of Zigfried 's hacking.
- Solomon Muto also mentioned about the huge cost to maintain the card on the field. Therefore, sending half of the Deck to the Graveyard or the prohibition of Normal Summoning is most likely also a "real" effect.
- Also, Solomon Muto (at least in the Japanese version) says that the card had that huge cost, because of the overwhelming effect of destroying any monster the opponent attacked with. So, very likely, the only hacked effects are "cannot be destroyed" and "opponent pays the cost" (the only 2 effects he also makes known are hacked).
- Pursuant to Leon von Schroeder's Fairy Tale Deck theme, the "Golden Castle of Stromberg" appears in The Raven , from Grimm's Fairytales.
- According to Vellian Crowler , this card along with "Infernalvania " are the only anime-exclusive Illegal Field Spell Cards .

It's been heavily, yet righteously, watered down considerably, but being able to stop your opponent from attacking as well as destroying the monsters and dealing damage is still broken. But at least the cost to keep it on the field is something the player has to pay instead of the opponent. Righteously watered down.

I cannot believe that this card is actually being made, when I read Mischief Of The Time Goddess was being made, I thought, there's no way that the Golden Castle Of Stromberg is being made, but here it is

Now I'm glad I gave up the game in favor of collecting the cards, because if someone was running something like Macro Cosmos along with monsters that got stronger with more cards being removed from play, this could be a game breaker.

These days I was thinking "how it would be interessnate if the konami cast at least some cards used by the character Leon von Schroeder" and see, that comes true!
Now I am sure that the chances of launching Ruklamba the Spirit King will increase significantly since they are paying attention to cards that appeared in fillers (who knows that mammoth of the noah can be released also)

That's pretty potent, so long as you only use it for one turn.

It may be broken in some context, but there's always that chance that -
A: you have, say, a high level monster you need to normal summon
B: your opponent has monsters with higher attack
C: you opponent might have an odd number of cards in their deck
still, I won't deny it's overpowered. Just imagine if all those cons were gone... And were replaced with pretty much every other field spell... THAT would be the definition of anime card.

- In the anime, this card was in the possession of Zigfried von Schroeder who wanted to win against Seto Kaiba .
- In episode 195 , Zigfried drops this card after he lost his Duel against Kaiba.
- It is odd that this card was in Zigfried's hand as he had no cards in his hand at that point.
- In episode 196 , Zigfried gave this card to his brother Leon von Schroeder for his Duel against Yugi Muto .
- This card is also shown within Leon's backstory flashback when he explains how he became fascinated into Duel Monsters after discovering the game.
- There are strangely multiple copies of this card shown during this flashback even though there should only be one copy.

"Forest Wolf " then attacks directly, but Yugi activates "Dark Magic Retribution " to revive "Dark Magician Girl" and use it to intercept the attack. "Dark Magician Girl" then destroys "Forest Wolf". Later Yami Yugi activates the effect of "Royal Straight Slasher " to destroy all cards on Leon's side of the field. Although "Iron Hans ", "Pumpkin Carriage ", "Cinderella", and "Glass Slippers " were destroyed, this card wasn't due to its own effect. On Leon's next Standby Phase, Yugi revealed he had only one card left in his Deck which made it impossible to pay the Maintenance Cost for this card. As a result, this card was destroyed and the virus that this card created in the KaibaCorp mainframe stopped.
