Description

One of the fishermen of Xi Hu (West Lake), a lake nestling in the foothills of the Cangshan range of China's Yunnan province north of Dali, with all four of his fishing cormorants on board his boat. String is tied around the throats of the birds to prevent them from swallowing the fish when they catch them and they disgorge them into the boat before diving for more. At the end of their work they are rewarded with some of the fish they have caught.
