I am a sculpter as well, though I admit I am no where near your level of talent. Great and inspiring work. Do you ever have problems with the integrity of the design? With the weight of your sculpture on the frame? Or the malleability of the sculpey/medium after it grows cold when left standing for long periods when doing detail work? I run into many difficulties in those areas and was wondering if you could share some tips on how you make such a solid base and exactly what material you use for your skeletons. If not, I understand, but it doesn't hurt to ask *smile*.

Hello, you make me many questions, I hope to answer in a way that help you ...
before making a sculpture, make a sketch in clay normal with that give me an idea of how I'm going to relizar, in terms of size or space to use. After the structure do I use galvanized metal wire, number 22 and 16 (but this is not like you can get in your country) or not I can fix it on the wooden base, but I do to be more comfortable. With regard to the dryness of sculpey I recommend a couple of videos I made on this subject (just as in my channel you can watch videos of as work, maybe you can serve) combine different types of sculpey and I apply a few drops of oil of the same brand, but if you leave the long period, the figure always have the same case.

Thank you for the help. Fixing the wire to the wooden block is a great idea. That was always one of my biggest problems (trying to make the figure balance without securing it to anything, hah).
Yes, I watched some of the videos and I don't know where I can get that wire... but I'm sure I can find alternatives that can work well.
Do you ever have problems with mixing sculpey? Like hardening at different temperatures while baking and things like that?
Thanks again for the help. Keep up the great work.

For it is a matter of seeking wire in craft stores and art, you can find but sold little and expensive, I find in other stores, there is a correct translation into English ... a home-depot or smaller stores (there is a not correct translation into English, so I annexed images) maybe you serve to locate that kind a stores with diferent type of wires, and here I get more quantity for low costs.

Problems bake, no, I combine a lot of material, in fact I hardly use sculpey "pure", everything is combined, and bake alike. Careful not to over bake the figures, no more than 30 min. Because then if it deforms the sculpey.
I hope to see yours works soon.
regards

I already have some of my stuff posted here on DA. It's nowhere near the detail level of yours and has suffered a lot due to the lack of a fixed base both during creation and while baking. When I get back into it I can try out these ideas though and see what happens.

You could still probably call this a Rhynotaur and all the English speakers would get you, even if the etymology is off.
