Description
As I mentioned in my previous journals, the current series I've been watching is Blood +. So I decided to attempt drawing the series main characters Haji and Saya. This work kind of has symbolism to it. In the series, Saya has to fight all these monsters and overtime, she tries to distance herself from those she cares about because she doesn't want any more of her loved ones to get hurt or killed. As a result, she begins to act cold-hearted towards her loved ones. So, I see that as if she's kind of sinking into the darkness. While Haji, her chevalie and partner, is always there for her when she needs him so, in my translation, he's like the "light" or whatever. Which is why I added the poor lighting effects to this. It's also very rare for Haji to smile but I wanted to draw him with one in this. So now this work probably looks OOC. Oh well. I'll do a better attempt of them later.

Background is suppose to look like blood seeing as this whole series is all about Saya's blood and gore. I thought it fit. Oh and if anyone wonders why I drew Saya's hair so long; it's because I drew the style how it is in season 2 of the anime. I like her with longer hair (although not as long as Diva's)
