I'm getting bad vibes that this will blow up and Scar will start hitting on Nala since she's the spitting image of her mother. Sarafina's betrayal might hit him hard, then he might turn to Nala to punish her and since he thinks he can control Nala and force her to obey him...

That's why I was getting those vibes. And it was gonna be in the movies, but they cut it since it was too rapey. At least I think that's why they cut it.
And I'm sure that's where she's gonna take it, since she's taking all canons and characters into her comic. Like that mute cub, who was someone I'd never seen in anyone's story and thought was an OC, but someone told me he was a very obscure character from an activity book or something. So I'm so she'd take something much closer to movie canon like Scar going mad and hitting on Nala and put it into her story.

Nope, it wasn't a fake deleted scene by any stretch of the imagination. It was cut from the movie, but they decided to leave it in for the musical. Probably because it's a free song and less kids go out to musicals so they could have let that go under the radar.

The one I saw was the actor's voice recordings over the still storyboard pictures. There was also a similar one of a cut Mufasa song with Jame's Earl Jones recording over it. They cut the song since they felt his voice wasn't really suited to singing, but he put in a good effort.
