Right, for those of you who are saying that Ahadi should've done this ages ago, consider this: after Mohatu's death, Uru, Ahadi, Kweli, and Hazina offered to continue his Royal Advisor lessons, and Taka refused training. Then when Uru took both her sons to meet Dumaka and his pride, Taka snubbed the whole thing as an act of "pity". Given all that, can you really blame Ahadi for taking THIS long to have Taka participate in Mufasa's lessons?

Though for the record, I do disagree with the tradition of only permitting the crown prince/princess and their consort-to-be to have royal lessons; I think it's something *all* royal cubs should have, just in case something happened.

OK, so Ahadi is acting against tradition NOW instead of when he had to choose between his two sons. If he was gonna act against tradition he would had let Mufasa and Taka rule together in the first place, not now that Taka had become an ass.

maybe there will be a twist and things will eventually get better  and rational after all he caused so much evil damage his own weak very weak soul to blame besides the worm of hyena fall this is a different version inspiration lovely but interpreted in new way thats whats good...great cliffhanger for all to wait hope and see over here at home wish could be different version instead of naturally turning more twisted and vile who knows make up from all the crap he done

Well, I understand their concern, but they just reallized or did something very late.

The Pride for example didn't notice poor Taka when he had just lost his grandfather and ignored him, they did notice the change, but they didn't try to help him at all, they all focused on Uru and Mufasa, but now, NOW that the damage is done and Taka is older, is when they notice his coldness? Way to go.

And I know Ahadi is trying, some parents just won't ever try it so Ahadi is already doing something important, but we all know it's too late for that, I know he is trying now, but this should have been done long ago, not now when the damage is done, Taka doesn't care and he is too old to learn. 

My opinion: Although the main problem is Vichaa, I kinda blame Taka's parents, they are not bad, but they didn't try enough or when they should, they are not bad, but they are far from perfection. And the pride directly doesn't care. Of course Taka, now that he is older, he should reallize now about what he is doing, but I guess years of grief and manipulation pulled him too much into the darkness, and it makes him unable to see it.

I feel like I'd just echo what everyone else is saying here. I largely blame Viccha for everything that happened and her meddling manipulations. But it didn't help that Taka already had a predisposition toward insecurity in himself it seemed. At the very least, if she hadn't been there he could have got lessons from Mohatu and might have been an excellent adviser for the Kingdom. Could Taka still have chosen the "lighter" path and not done the horrible things he'd done to Moyo? That I'm not sure of. He did seem hesitant at first, though they say the first time someone murders someone it's the hardest.
I also get that Ahadi didn't want to break tradition, but come on, he could have at least made more of an effort to talk to Taka, and the same with Uru. I agree with what someone else said on here, Uru should have explained more why Viccha and the hyenas were bad news. Mohatu should have made more of an effort driving them out and not given them a chance to even be near the Prideland's borders.
But there's so many should haves, would haves and could haves...it's like with life...Ahadi and Uru weren't the worst parents...but they weren't perfect either...they were naive...and it didn't help that Uru didn't have a mother to help raise her either.

Regardless...I am going to agree with the majority of the posters here...it's too late for Ahadi to try and make a change...and I'm sure the shit is going to go down soon. I have a few speculations on what might happen...but I'll wait and see...good job on the pages, stories and art though. Can't wait to read more. :3
