Bianka managed to fake tears of pain as the pride found her mate slaughtered. It was believed to have been rogues who caught Vita alone on a patrol. Zira's heart broke upon seeing her father's bloody body, Uru attempted to lead her away as the cub wept, her shoulders shaking, but Bianka quickly intervened pulling her daughter into her paws allowing her to weep. As the pride mourned Bianka led Zira somewhere secluded and as Zira cried she could catch the faint hint of blood on her mother, she, like the pride assumed it was caused by Bianka hugging her mate's corpse, but as Zira wept, Biank whispered to her.
"This was their fault. If King Ahadi hadn't made your father go out on patrol he'd still be alive..."
Zira sniffed feeling confused, her father loved to go out on patrol, even alone. Was it really Ahadi's fault? She tensed up closing her eyes hugging her mother as these thoughts raced through her head. King Ahadi's fault...
While Zira curled up against her mothers belly, Bianka looked over to her lionesses with a twisted grin. Now her plan was in motion.
