Follow up to this:We're not quite done with this story yet Im also super happy with Kovu in this drawing compared to the others XD
Kovu found out the truth of his heritage and wandered back to his cave deep in thought on the matter. He was an orphan. Vitani attempted to fight with his but was puzzled by her brother's depressed mood, however when she pushed the matter, Kovu couldn't bring himself to tell her that she too had no father...
Sorry there's no back and forth dialogue, i just returned from a week away and im feeling tired

is right ^^ you can look at my family tree if its a bit confusing but to summarize, Nuka and Vitani share a mother: Zira whilst Kovu and Vitani share a father, but Kovu has a completely different mother

Thats why Vitani and Kovu look the most alike. They have the same father.
